Yesterday, MSG Plus along with partner Red Bull North America, opened a third season of The Transit Chapters at 530p. Throughout a total of 12 new half-hour episodes airing this summer and fall on Sundays, the series takes viewers away from Madison Square Garden and into the New York City metro area to profile emerging sports and cultural activities. The next episode on July 11 at 530p, will take in the world’s largest one-on-one B-boy battle with breakdancing at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The Transit Chapters is produced by MSG Plus along with 360 Productions and Aura360; Red Bull North America serves as co-executive producer for the show. Sean Young is staying in Genoa City for awhile longer as the actress will continue to play the barmaid Meggie on CBS’ daytime soap The Young and the Restless, cites EW. Young will be back on Y&R starting July 14 and is expected to extend her role through August. Sean joined Y&R in May and has appeared in five episodes. Amy Madigan takes up the role as Olivia’s mother on the FOX series Fringe. Madigan, who has recently appeared on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, will appear in approximately four episodes of Fringe starting with the new season premiere episode. ~ RATINGS ~
Thursday A18-49 Analysis: ABC made it to the top Thursday night delivering a 2.0/7 with A18-49 viewers, according to final national ratings from Nielsen. ABC’s Wipeout was #1 at 8p with a 2.8/11 while UNIV’s Hasta que el Dinero Nos Separe was #2 at 2.0/7. UNIV claimed first place at 9p with Soy Tu Duena at 2.4/8 and FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance swooped in to take second place with 2.1/7. Effective immediately, J. David (Dave) Davis was appointed President/GM of WABC/New York. Dave was most recently EVP/ABC News and rejoins WABC-TV, ABC Television Stations Group’s station after having managed it from 2003-2007. As President/GM, Dave will oversee the station and its associated businesses including two digital channels, the station’s website and the syndicated series Live! With Regis and Kelly that is produced by the station. Dave precedes and succeeds Rebecca Campbell in this position.
