Disney-ABC Domestic Television offered an update on clearances for the new nationally syndicated talk show Katie starring Katie Couric.  To date, Katie is now cleared in 93% of the US and will air in 95 of the top 100 markets starting this September.  The live one-hour talk show will air on the ABC Owned station group as well as other broadcast groups including Allbritton Communications, Belo Corporation, Cox Media Group, Gannett Broadcasting, Granite, Griffin, Hearst Television, LIN Broadcasting, McGraw-Hill, Media General, Meredith, Raycom, Scripps Howard Broadcasting, Sinclair and Young Broadcasting, among others.

The joint venture of Lionsgate-TISA Television International (Television Internacional Sur America) made an exclusive deal to represent at least 20 new theatrical films from New Films International in Latin America.  The agreement gives Lionsgate TISA Television International with exclusive rights across all platforms including free, pay, PPV, VOD and mobile.  Film titles involved in the deal include 7 Club, A Novel Romance, Age of Kali, American Cowslip, Brother’s Justice and Burning Palms among other titles.

Telco Productions said WCBS-TV in New York has cleared the half-hour weekly program, What America Things with Scott Rasmussen for fall 2012.

Peter Rodgers Organizations (PRO) picked up the domestic rights for the one-hour series Conan: The Adventurer with 22 episodes and the one-hour series Acapulco H.E.A.T with 48 episodes.

ABC approved the one-hour drama, 666 Park Ave. from Alloy Entertainment, the producers of three series on The CW including The Vampire Diaries, The Secret Circle and Gossip Girl.  Warner Bros. Television is also producing 666 Park Ave. which is based in the book series by Gabriella Pierce.   The plot centers on an unsuspecting Midwestern couple that relocates to New York City and is hired to be the resident managers of a building on the Upper East Side.  The building is populated with residents who have made deals with the devil to fulfill their deepest ambitions and desires.

Anne Heche (Men in Trees, Hung) makes a comeback to series television as producer and star of NBC’s comedy pilot Save Me.  Heche will play a woman who, following an accident, believes she is channeling God.

Still in its first season, ABC’s Revenge adds Courtney B. Vance to the cast playing a high-powered defense attorney.

NBC’s single-camera comedy pilot Isabel which already stars Marcia Gay Harden and Sophia Schloss added Alex Desert (Becker) as co-star, per THR.  Sphere Media Plus is producing the pilot based on the Canadian comedy Le Monde de Charlotte whose adaptations rights were picked up by NBC last fall.
