And on a personal note …  By the time you’re reading this, I’ll be somewhere over the Atlantic jetting my way home. It has been a great week – a very productive market. Always good to see all the familiar faces and to hear about some of the really amazing things folks are involved with now.  So many who found themselves out of work last year, are back this year, consulting for several clients, often enough for their old companies.  Bringing in consultants is the short term solution and hopefully as the economy continues to improve perhaps we’ll see some of those consultants become full-timers again.  The other area clearly impacted by the economy last year was co-productions, which became virtually non-existent with the recession.  This year I was surprised by the amount of co-productions — seems everyone’s co-pro’ing with others from all over the world.  That bodes well for this industry.  So as we say goodbye to the friendly familiar faces, we can also say goodbye to those few who make us happier when we are saying goodbye. Aw, come on now, everybody has one or two of those.  See you back stateside … unless of course you see me first!
