CBS yanked We Are Men from Monday’s lineup after two episodes. The sitcom averaged a 1.8 rating/5 share and 5.4 million viewers this week, losing a third of the audience for its lead-in, 8p’s How I Met Your Mother. The net is sliding 2 Broke Girls from 9p to fill the 8:30p slot; repeats of The Big Bang Theory will run at 9p until the season four return of Mike & Molly on November 4.

Three episodes in, ABC has given a full-season order to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. On Tuesday, the series drew a 2.9 rating in A18-49 and 7.9 million viewers. It’s the third new show to get a pickup, after Fox‘s Sleepy Hollow and NBC‘s Blacklist.

ABC is tacking on two more eps of Shark Tank to its 22-show order, says the Hollywood Reporter. Last week, CNBC announced it acquired exclusive off-network cable rights to the Sony Pictures Television business reality show, to start running in January 2014. Shark Tank airs on ABC Fridays at 9p.

A New York Times study found 34 percent of Millennials surveyed watched mostly online video and no broadcast TV. Caveat: The survey of 4000 online video users did not cover people who don’t watch online video.

Nominees for the American Music Awards were announced Thursday. Leading the pack was Macklemore & Ryan Lewis with six nods; Taylor Swift and Justin Timblerlake earned five, and Florida Georgia Line, Rihanna and Robin Thicke each received four. Twerk alert: Miley Cyrus will be one of the performers at the live event Sunday, November 24 at 8p on ABC.

Aereo announced it will release an Android app, for download in the Google Play store, in markets where the service’s technology has launched, available October 22.

Crown Media Family Networks has partnered with video ad technology provider FreeWheel to expand its digital sales packages. “As we continue to expand our programming into the digital space through TV Everywhere, VOD, and other non-linear platforms beyond the traditional television screen,” Bill Abbott, President and CEO, Crown Media Family, tells Cynopsis, “we have a great opportunity to grow our business model and monetize our unique content.”

New York Giants’ Justin Tuck will participate in a live Twitter chat tonight during Sportsman Channel‘s Bowhunter TV, where the avid bowhunter is seen stalking water buffalo in Argentina. “The key to football is patient aggression,” explained the defensive end, “just like bowhunting.” Ep airs tonight at 9p.

~ COMING UP ~

Katy Perry and Will Ferrell are set to appear on MTV‘s EMAs in Amsterdam. Perry will perform her next single, and Ferrell will act as a special correspondent, in the form of his Anchorman 2 character, Ron Burgundy, during the event. Show airs in the U.S. on Sunday, November 10 at 6:30p.

More music news: The fifth annual Soul Train Awards tape November 8 in Las Vegas, to air December 1 at 8p on Centric and BET. Jennifer Hudson and Smokey Robinson are among the performers; Dionne Warwick is honoree.

Cooking Channel combines recipes with romance on Come Date With Me. Potential couples cook for each other, with winners sharing $1000 and “the ultimate dream date.” Series premieres Friday, October 25 at 10p.

The “Dog Whisperer” puts owners through their paces in Nat Geo Wild special, Cesar Millan: Doggie Nightmares. The Ping Pong Productions special premieres Sunday, November 3 at 10p.

Discovery Fit & Health is debuting two series for indecisive homeowners. Competing realtors on Urban Suburban help couples resolve the city/suburb debate, and Reno Vs. Relocate offers people help deciding whether to modernize their houses or just move on. Urban, from Force Four Entertainment, premieres Thursday, November 7 at 9p, followed by Mandolin Media‘s Reno at 10p.

LMN original movie Clara’s Deadly Secret tells the story of a house “with a grim past that refuses to stay buried.” Thriller from Protocol Entertainment airs Friday, October 25 at 8p.

Oprah Winfrey has a chat with Robin Thicke about his infamous VMA performance with Miley Cyrus on Oprah’s Next Chapter. “Listen, I’m the twerkee. I’m twerked upon,” Thicke tells O on the OWN show, airing Sunday, October 13 at 9p.

~ CASTING ~

Ray Liotta (Goodfellas), Mamie Gummer (Emily Owens, M.D.), John Carrolll Lynch (Body of Proof), Rosemary Harris (Spider Man) and Tracee Chimo (The Five-Year Engagement) have signed on for the HBO pilot Money. All would recur. Billy Magnussen (As the World Turns) and Ruth Negga (World War Z) joined as series regulars.

Richard Belzer will no longer be a series regular on Law & Order: SVU, reports Variety. The actor has played Sgt. John Munch since the character was created for NBC‘s Homicide: Life on the Street in 1993.

Natalie Zea (The Following) will star in Amazon pilot The Outlaws, reports Deadline. Zea will play the widow of a football team owner forced to run the organization.

~ PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT~

NBC nabbed a script for a comedy inspired by the life of Bert Kreischer, about the party animal comedian’s decision to grow up, says the Hollywood Reporter. Kreischer will star in and produce the CBS Television Studios/Levity Entertainment project.

Univision signed a multi-platform deal with Time Warner Cable to deliver the company’s content to TWC and Bright House Networks subscribers. The agreement includes upcoming English-language El Rey, launching at the end of 2013, and renews distribution rights for Uni’s flagship broadcast and cable nets.

After a federal judge in Massachusetts denied Hearst-owned WCVB-TV’s preliminary injunction motion against Aereo on Thursday, rival streaming service FilmOn told Broadcasting & Cable it will defy a September 5 injunction and start delivering local TV stations in Boston to its users.

~ INTERNATIONAL HAPPENINGS ~

Germany’s RTL picked up rights to hot singing competition Rising Star from Keshet International, for a local-language version. As with other singing shows, voters pick the winners, but in Rising Star the voting is done live.
