First and foremost – nothing has been confirmed by the network. With that said, FOX is apparently canceling its comedy The Good Guys helmed by Bradley Whitford and Colin Hanks. Yesterday, the person in charge of the Dallas Film Commission, where the show taped on location, received news from a “high-ranking Fox Television Studios executive” that the show will not return for a second season. Next Monday, NBC is supersizing the live season finale of The Sing-Off by an extra 30 minutes to two-and-a-half hours starting at 8p. NBC will follow The Sing-Off finale with a preview in s sneak peak its new comedy Perfect Couples at 1030p, though the sitcom will have its official debut on January 20 at 830p. Syfy opted to not renew Stargate Universe for a third season. The series, starring Robert Carlyle, has 10 episodes remaining in its second season and Syfy will air these episodes beginning spring 2011. Bravo is readying a fourth new season of Million Dollar Listing, the series giving viewers an up-close look inside the high-dollar and cutthroat world of real estate transactions in Los Angeles. Million Dollar Listing, produced by World of Wonder for Bravo premieres February 1 at 10p. Roger Ebert’s new public television movie review show, Roger Ebert Presents At the Movies will premiere January 21 (check local listings). The show will air in 192 markets in the US and globally via the Armed Forces Network. Showtime is offering a Free Preview Weekend available to 61 million US households from January 7 through January 10. During that weekend, viewers can tune-in to programming available on Showtime, Showtime HD and Showtime On Demand sampling the new original series Shameless and Episodes as well as the fourth season premiere of Californication all airing that Sunday in a block from 9-11p. On Tuesday, VERSUS delivered an average of 750,000 viewers for the Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Philadelphia Flyers match, which ranks now as the most-watched regular season NHL game in the network’s history. This week’s game further topped the former high set by the same two teams in the current season’s opening game on October 7, 2010 which netted 730,000 viewers. Legendary filmmaker Blake Edwards died Thursday morning at the age of 88. Mr. Edwards was writer/director on around 50 films, mostly comedies including the Pink Panther series, 10, Victor/Victoria starring his wife, Julie Andrews and other iconic films such as Days of Wine and Roses and Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Mr. Edwards also experienced success through television with the hit series Peter Gunn and Mr. Lucky. In his personal life, Mr. Edwards was married to his first wife, Patricia for fourteen years and had two children, Jennifer and Geoffrey. In 1969, he married Ms. Andrews and together they adopted two Vietnamese orphan girls, Amy Leigh and Joanna Lynn. Sewee Entertainment announced a third season renewal on ABC O&Os for the 2011 MLK Holiday Tribute live event, Raising the Roof. The ABC-owned stations, WABC, KABC, WLS, WPVI and KGO join other affiliates from Hearst, Cox, Scripps, Allbritton, McGraw Hill, Raycom, Sinclair and more. Raising the Roof is produced by Hearst’s WCVB/ABC Boston featuring concert music from The Boston Children’s Chorus and other guest artists to celebrate diversity and to honor the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The event will air live on January 17 in many cities. Following that, stations will have the right to rebroadcast the event through February 28 as part of their February Black History Month scheduling plans. Starting in January, KOCE-TV is transitioning to become PBS SoCal serving the residents of Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties as well as the city of Santa Barbara and Orange County. KOCE-TV’s over-the-air TV location is Channel 50.1 and the station will be available across Southern California on various cable and satellite TV providers including Charter Communications, Cox Communications, Mediacom, Suddenlink Communications and Time Warner Cable. Oxygen Media is developing a new reality competition series called Best Ink (wt). The series explores the living art form of tattoos following a dozen tattoo artists as they compete for a cash prize and the title of “Best Ink.” Bunim-Murray Productions is producing. Additionally, Oxygen approved a second season of its competition series Hair Battle Spectacular from 3 Ball Productions for 2011. The first season of Hair Battle Spectacular became the network’s most-watched frosh season ever. ~ RATINGS ~

Carlos Silva, President of Universal Sports Network Properties and the previous President/COO of Universal Sports and Perkins Miller, COO of Universal Sports jointly announced Carlos will be departing the network now that the transition to new management under Miller and David Sternberg has taken place.
