Add NBC, MSNBC, Peacock, NewsNation, Newsmax and Newsmax 2, Telemundo and Scripps News to the list of outlets planning to simulcast CNN’s presidential debate on Thursday, June 27. CBS News, C-SPAN, ABC News, PBS and Fox News already announced plans to air the event, with their own pre- and post-debate coverage.

Forty-seven percent of brands and agencies believe attention measurement doesn’t address the issues of ad avoidance and device multitasking, according to Infillion report, “Eyes Wide Shut: Traversing the Attention Spectrum.” Key findings include:
– 42% of advertisers said attention measurement is a proxy metric and fails to capture behavioral data such as eye gaze
– 37% said attention measurement fails to distinguish between earned from interruptive attention
– 90% of consumers have strategies for dodging digital ads and 25% of consumers avoid ads because there are too many
So what’s a marketer to do? “As we look to iteratively improve upon attention measurement, we must remember that attention comprises a spectrum,” concludes the report. “Marketers should strive to deliver premium experiential attention to clients where possible, rather than interruptive attention.”

Starting “soon,” only Premium subscribers will be able to livestream on X, according to a post on X from the verified @Live account. “This includes going live from an encoder with X integration,” reads the post. Users of the Premium tier pay $8/month.

Five men have been convicted of operating illicit streaming service Jetflix. Disguised as an aviation company, Jetflix used sophisticated computer scripts and software to search pirate websites, downloading illegal copies of copyrighted materials for a catalog of content larger than Netflix, Hulu, Vudu and Prime Video combined. The five men, Kristopher Dallmann, Douglas Courson, Felipe Garcia, Jared Jaurequi and Peter Huber, were charged in 2019 with conspiring to violate federal criminal copyright law.

The late game show host Alex Trebek will live forever in the hearts of “Jeopardy!” fans, and now he’s being memorialized on a U.S. forever stamp. “This naturalized U.S. citizen hosted the quiz show ‘Jeopardy!’ for 37 seasons,” reads the stamp, with the response: “Who is Alex Trebek?” The stamp, which coincides with the game show’s 60th anniversary, comes out July 22. Trebek died November 8, 2020, at age 80.

The Stanley Cup Final Game 6 on ESPN averaged 4.2 million total viewers and 1.4 million among P18-49 based on Nielsen fast nationals, up 54% and 24%, respectively, against last year’s Game 5 clincher.

On Fox, 1.23 million viewers watched Portugal defeat Czechia in Tuesday afternoon’s UEFA European Championship Group Stage match, up 41% from the comparable 2021 match.

Much-admired television executive Jamie Kellner has died at age 77. Kellner was the founding president of Fox Broadcasting, and former chairman and CEO of Turner Broadcasting System. “I don’t think there’s another person in the history of TV that can say they helped start two new major broadcast networks (Fox and The WB),” said producer Greg Berlanti. “Jamie Kellner was a titan and a visionary in our industry and yet he will be remembered by anyone lucky enough to work for him as an executive or as a showrunner as a warm, funny, charismatic, creative and kind mentor, friend, husband and Dad.”
