Writer/director and Vice creative director Spike Jonze (Her) is overseeing development of the new channel. “It feels like most channels are just a collection of shows,” said Jonze. “We wanted Viceland to be different, to feel like everything on there has a reason to exist and a strong point of view.” Shows on the slate include Gaycation, starring Ellen Page; Huang’s World, with Eddie Huang, VICE World Of Sports, and Weediquette, among others.

Life is a pageant!” Ah, indeed. Back-to-back eps start at 10p.

Last week we asked our readers to tell us, "Who’s your favorite comedian?"
Here’s who makes your colleagues laugh…
- Amy Schumer, because I think she has a very clever way of addressing real social issues through comedy. – Alexandra Cassidy, Media Buyer, Mediacom
- I have to go with Aziz Ansari because that is the only comedian I have ever seen live, and I have never laughed so hard. – Brian Mitchinson, Assistant Negotiator, Mediacom
- Artie Lang, but haven’t heard/seen him in awhile. He is quick-witted, especially during his years on Stern. Great storyteller. – Jamie Umans, Partner, Communications Planning Director, MediaCom
- RuPaul – Ok, he may not be a traditional comedian, but his particular brand of shade is hysterical – total laugh riot!- Sara Hansemann, Vice President of Development, Evolution Media
- George Carlin – whose father was actually in advertising (a national advertising manager for the New York Sun). – Aaron Lombardi, Sales Director, Moat
Next week’s question is… "What was the best industry event, party or function that you went to and why?"
Join in and don’t miss out on all of the fun! Send your response to next week’s question today to [email protected].
