Carly Fiorina announced on Fox News Monday morning that she’d booked an appearance on ABC daytime talker The View, where the co-hosts recently joked about the Republican presidential candidate’s “demented face” during the CNBC debate. “None of these women scare me,” Fiorina told FNC. “My message to the ladies of The View is, man up.” The View’s Whoopi Goldberg later said on-air, “Just so we’re all clear, you have to know the difference between when somebody is coming for you, and when somebody is paying you a compliment, and when somebody is saying, ‘Here’s my observation.’ If you can get that together maybe you can be president.” More to come on Fiorina’s Friday, November 6 stopover.

And there’s this: Conservative talk radio personality Glenn Beck has offered his services as host for the February 26 GOP debate, yanked from NBC by a Republican National Committee angry about CNBC’s October 28 event. “Traditional mainstream media has treated the debates as comedies, as propaganda, and as ratings and revenue opportunities, even as they mock conservative candidates,” wrote Beck in a letter to RNC chairman Reince Preibus. Beck claimed his TheBlazeTV and its platforms would produce “the first truly cross-platform, digitally engaged debate in the history of American politics, and one that we are confident will reach one of the largest blocks of conservative voters in history.” And forget those pesky journalists. Instead, “I will invite the greatest new conservative thinkers and media voices in America to prepare and ask questions live and by video,” said Beck. “Our panel will offer the candidates an opportunity to discuss substantial issues of importance with authentic answers that are thoughtful and elevating to the entire party.”
