Procedural Hard Knocks landed a script commitment plus penalty from Fox. Cop drama comes from Virgil Williams (Criminal Minds), Martin Chase Productions and Universal Television.
 
Lionsgate is partnering with John Goldwyn (Dexter) on a first-look deal to develop and produce scripted programming for television and streaming platforms through his John Goldwyn Productions banner. Goldwyn executive produces and oversees Discovery’s  Manhunt: Unabomber, the Lionsgate-produced first installment of their anthology series. Goldwyn will remain attached to all future seasons of Manhunt, and Lionsgate will have exclusive first look rights to all new television projects developed and produced by Goldwyn.
 
Mark Goffman (Bull) has a drama project at CBS based on the work of Morgan Spurlock (Supersize Me) and one at CW adapted from novel and podcast After On. Both come from CBS Television Studios.
 
In development at CW is Near Beth Experience, from Rob Giles, Mike Kelley (Revenge), Page Fright and Warner Bros. Television. Dramedy centers on a cynical comedian who almost died.
 
 
NEW & RETURNING SERIES
 
Moonshiners returns to Discovery on Tuesday, November 14 at 9p. For season 7, the distillery operators move deep into the remote corners of Appalachia.
 
New series Cat vs. Dog launches Saturday, November 11 at 10p on Animal Planet, helping families establish pet peace in turbulent homes.  
 
The third installment of Syfy horror anthology Channel Zero has a name. Channel Zero: Butcher’s Block is set to air in early 2018.
 
  
COMING UP
 
One hour unscripted special Save It or Sell It, focused on struggling small businesses in America, will premiere on Sunday, November 5 at 11p on A&E, followed by airings across enthusiast blocks on A&E, History and FYI. “A+E Networks has a rich history of storytelling in this space, with some of our longest running hit shows built around small businesses,” said Christian Murphy, SVP, Daytime & Programming Partnerships, A+E Networks. The special’s concept was developed in collaboration with Tom Duncan, CEO of Positec Tool Corporation.
 
Ricky Martin, Luis Fonsi and Diplo have joined the lineup for iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina: Celebrating Our Heroes. Four-hour concert event airs live on Telemundo Saturday, November 4 at 8p.

The Menendez Murders: Erik Tells All premieres on A&E on Thursday, November 30 at 10p. Via new interviews and photos, true crime docu-series re-examines the tragedy getting the scripted treatment on NBC’s Law & Order True Crime.
 
CBS This Morning anchors Charlie Rose, Gayle King and Norah O’Donnell, along with execs including president of CBS News president David Rhodes, will be on the panel for The Paley Center’s NYC event “The News Is Back: CBS This Morning and the Morning Landscape.” Discussion takes place Wednesday, November 1 at 7p.
 
RFD-TV and The Cowboy Channel are offering live coverage of the National FFA (formerly Future Farmers of America) Convention, taking place now through October 28 in Indianapolis.

Videology is offering access to new self-service, automatic TV advertising product DETVGo for free to agencies and advertisers. DETVGo lets advertisers choose target audiences for campaigns and generates plans for linear TV using real time avails and pricing. “Interest in advanced TV is escalating – advertisers want to get going, now. DETVgo is that gateway product,” said Scott Ferber, founder and CEO, Videology. “Technology should not be a barrier to better TV advertising. It should help propel the industry forward.”
 
Telemundo and Toyota are teaming for a VR experience for the 2017 Latin American Music Awards, airing tonight at 9p on Telemundo and Universo. Campaign kicks off when Christian Acosta picks Wisin in the all-new 2018 Camry, giving a close-up look at car and star. Wisin’s performance will air in a 360 degree livestream for Facebook Live, YouTube and on LittleStar, a VP app.
 
With OOH media spend expected to hit $10 billion in 2018, Paul Donato, chief research officer at the Advertising Research Foundation, shares the OOH trends marketers should be on top of in the new Cynsiders.
 
Velocity, which uses motion sensors on smartphones to detect human motion, is partnering with programmatic platform provider Beeswax to integrate its Active Impression metrics into the company’s Bidder-as-a-Service programmatic advertising platform. Beeswax’s Bidder-as-a-Service provides companies with technologies to support their programmatic advertising campaigns and maximize ROI across platforms. The partnership will allow users to target receptive devices under all available Active Impression segments, as well as by traditional demographic segments.

Twitter agreed to start the first phase of the accreditation process with the Media Rating Council by submitting a set of measurement metrics. Eventually Twitter data will undergo an audit by MRC and third parties that is expected to be completed in the first half of 2018.

Meetinghouse Productions announced the official launch of its digital comedy channel Chuckler.com. The initial slate of original programming includes scripted comedies, a game show and Newsmasters, “a Sunday morning roundtable discussion show that makes the news interesting by making it up.” Chuckler’s slate begins premiering Nov. 7, 2017.

Jumping to 17.9 million Total Viewers after 7 days of TV playback, ABC’s The Good Doctor moved ahead of CBSThe Big Bang Theory (17.7 million) to rank as Monday’s most-watched program. With a 4.1 rating among A18-49, freshman drama came within .3 of Big Bang in the L+7 numbers after trailing by .8 in L+SD.
 
Game 1 of the World Series on Fox drew 14.97 million total viewers, plus another 500,000 on FS1, Fox Deportes and FSGO, enough to win the night but down 23% from 2016’s 19.4 million.

ComScore co-founder Gian Fulgoni will retire as CEO on January 31, 2018. Fulgoni had returned to the company in 2016 to deal with accounting issues. The comScore board has formed a committee to direct a search for a new CEO.
 
Heather Schuster was upped to Head of Unscripted at Amazon Studios, replacing Conrad Riggs. Schuster, who joined Amazon in August, previously worked with Riggs on The Apprentice, and at Ryan Seacrest Productions.
