Procedural Hard Knocks landed a script commitment plus penalty from Fox. Cop drama comes from Virgil Williams (Criminal Minds), Martin Chase Productions and Universal Television.
Lionsgate is partnering with John Goldwyn (Dexter) on a first-look deal to develop and produce scripted programming for television and streaming platforms through his John Goldwyn Productions banner. Goldwyn executive produces and oversees Discovery’s Manhunt: Unabomber, the Lionsgate-produced first installment of their anthology series. Goldwyn will remain attached to all future seasons of Manhunt, and Lionsgate will have exclusive first look rights to all new television projects developed and produced by Goldwyn.
Mark Goffman (Bull) has a drama project at CBS based on the work of Morgan Spurlock (Supersize Me) and one at CW adapted from novel and podcast After On. Both come from CBS Television Studios.
In development at CW is Near Beth Experience, from Rob Giles, Mike Kelley (Revenge), Page Fright and Warner Bros. Television. Dramedy centers on a cynical comedian who almost died.

Moonshiners returns to Discovery on Tuesday, November 14 at 9p. For season 7, the distillery operators move deep into the remote corners of Appalachia.
New series Cat vs. Dog launches Saturday, November 11 at 10p on Animal Planet, helping families establish pet peace in turbulent homes.
The third installment of Syfy horror anthology Channel Zero has a name. Channel Zero: Butcher’s Block is set to air in early 2018.

One hour unscripted special Save It or Sell It, focused on struggling small businesses in America, will premiere on Sunday, November 5 at 11p on A&E, followed by airings across enthusiast blocks on A&E, History and FYI. “A+E Networks has a rich history of storytelling in this space, with some of our longest running hit shows built around small businesses,” said Christian Murphy, SVP, Daytime & Programming Partnerships, A+E Networks. The special’s concept was developed in collaboration with Tom Duncan, CEO of Positec Tool Corporation.

Meetinghouse Productions announced the official launch of its digital comedy channel Chuckler.com. The initial slate of original programming includes scripted comedies, a game show and Newsmasters, “a Sunday morning roundtable discussion show that makes the news interesting by making it up.” Chuckler’s slate begins premiering Nov. 7, 2017.

RATINGS
Jumping to 17.9 million Total Viewers after 7 days of TV playback, ABC’s The Good Doctor moved ahead of CBS’ The Big Bang Theory (17.7 million) to rank as Monday’s most-watched program. With a 4.1 rating among A18-49, freshman drama came within .3 of Big Bang in the L+7 numbers after trailing by .8 in L+SD.
Game 1 of the World Series on Fox drew 14.97 million total viewers, plus another 500,000 on FS1, Fox Deportes and FSGO, enough to win the night but down 23% from 2016’s 19.4 million.
