Last week we asked our readers to "Tell us about your best/worst celebrity encounter."
Here’s what some of your colleagues had to say…
- I brought a friend, a grown woman, to the Teen Choice Awards back when Gilmore Girls was very popular. She spotted Jared Paladecki, screamed ‘Dean!’ ran over and threw her arms around his neck. I was stunned. He was completely gracious, although a bit terrified. Tori Davis, VP, Media, New and Improved Media
- Playing poker with Whoopi Goldberg. David Lau, Activation Manager, Mediavest
- I literally ran into 50 Cent coming out of an elevator in NYC – I almost knocked him over, but was invited to his rooftop party that night! Lindsey Ingram, Group Media Design Leader (Media Director), Barkley
- Getting photo-bombed by Jim Gaffigan at a comedy show fundraiser for the National Military Family Association, a partner of American Heroes Channel. Charlotte Bigford, Publicist, Destination America, American Heroes Channel, Investigation Discovery
- Walking down 53rd street I found myself shoulder to shoulder with George Clooney. We walked 1/2 block that way. Almost at the corner a bunch of girls notice him and start pointing him out, saying ‘Oh my God.’ One yells out, ‘You’re beautiful!’ as we pass. At the corner, he looks at me, and I look back and say ‘That happens everywhere I go.’ He chuckles. Michael Lawless, VP, Director Ad Sales Operations, Katz Media Group

The season 6 debut of The Walking Dead came out fighting, beating out Sunday Night Football, but was a little less fearsome to its competition than the record-breaking season 5 premiere. The new debut grabbed a monstrous 14.6 million viewers on Sunday with 9.4 million A18-49, for a 7.43 ratings, according to Nielsen, but dipped 16 percent and 15 percent, respectively, from season 5.
A total of 12.17 million viewers on linear and nonlinear platforms checked in to the premiere episode of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: Hotel, according to Nielsen data. On a Live+3 basis, the linear telecast posted 6.13 million A18-49 and 3.70 million A18-34, ranking No. 5 and No. 3 respectively in those demos among all new and returning series premieres on television this fall. The Sept. 22 series premiere of CBS’s Limitless, which averaged a Live+SD audience of 9.86 million, jumped 79 percent to 17.6 million viewers with the inclusion of seven-day DVR playback, the unduplicated audience from an encore broadcast and 14 days of video-on-demand/online streaming. Non-linear viewership of Limitless is significantly younger: The show’s median age with online streaming is 39 and is 46 on video-on-demand.
Crime Watch Daily, the number one new show in syndication, jumped 13 percent the week ending October 4 versus the week prior, to .9, its best rating yet. Fellow newcomer FABLife was steady at .7.
