RATINGS
The launch of Disney XD’s DuckTales on September 23 ranked as the net’s #1 animated series launch in 2 ½ years in total viewers (662,000) and Kids 2-11 (311,000/.8 rating).
The season 4 premiere of CBS’s Madam Secretary on Sunday drew 7.1 million viewers and a .8/3 rating among A18-49, up 18% in viewers and even in the demo versus its season 3 bow.
There was a shift in shows that best captured viewer attention in September, according to Dan Schiffman, CRO for TVision. “Game shows and reality TV, which topped the ranks in summer attention, gave way to scripted television in the Fall TV lineup,” Schiffman told Cynopsis. “New season premieres like Great News and Young Sheldon, achieved the most attention as September sitcoms and dramas took over the top ranks in Broadcast Attention.” (Of course, attention doesn’t always correspond with ratings – among cable’s top 5 was Bravo’s just-canceled Odd Mom Out.)
