It appears Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow may not be most sincerely dead. Despite the popular character’s shocking death at the end season five, actor Kit Harington was spied on the HBO drama’s Belfast set in costume. Harington also was recently quoted as saying, “Let’s just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while.”
ABC News was quick to apologize on Friday after it came to light that a videotaped deposition taken during O.J. Simpson’s civil suit, which the net promoted as “exclusive,” had in fact already aired on NBC. “Partying like it’s 1999! Check out #Dateline logo from first time we aired the tapes! #retro,” tweeted NBC. “We learned this morning portions did air 15 years ago,” said ABC News. “We apologize for the mistake.”
The 2016 KTLA Rose Parade broadcast will be the last for Bob Eubanks (The Newlywed Game) and Stephanie Edwards (Everyday), after runs of 38 and 35 years, respectively. “We believe the timing is right,” said Edwards. “It’s always good to leave before you’re asked to do so.” SoCal’s KTLA has been broadcasting the parade since 1948.

Food for thought regarding the ad blocking debate: “Consumers are getting used to choosing when they want to watch ads and when they do not,” says BTIG managing director and media analyst Richard Greenfield in a blog post. “They can engage with ads in their scroll on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram if they want, with advertisers only paying when the consumer is interested.TV needs to adapt to the new realities of consumer expectations and the alternatives presented to brands. Forcing ads on consumers is a losing strategy.
