Goodbye, Donald, hello, Arnold. A new “CEO” has been named to take over the boardroom on The Celebrity Apprentice: Arnold Schwarzenegger. The former California governor and film star will replace Donald Trump, when the NBC series returns for the 2016-2017 season. “After leaving the show to run for political office, Donald made it clear that he wanted ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ to be able to continue to raise millions of dollars annually for worthy causes, and now NBC and I have found an amazing new leader to do just that,” said executive producer Mark Burnett. “Gov. Schwarzenegger will use his highly successful business, political and media experience to drive this hit franchise to new heights.”


A&E premieres Cosby: The Women Speak, a one-hour special featuring interviews with some of Bill Cosby’s accusers, on Thursday, September 17 at 9p. The first-hand accounts examine the allegations against the famous comedian, decade by decade. Voices heard from include actress Louisa Moritz, publicist Joan Tarshis and model Beverly Johnson.

FOX‘s The Grinder has a new boss. The Comedians‘ Ben Wexler has been tapped to take over the freshman comedy. The move is part of Wexler’s overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television to develop projects for the studio. He replaces Greg Malins, who was named to the post when the series was initially picked up.

NBC has canceled Mr. Robinson. While the sitcom, which starred Craig Robinson, had a solid premiere, its DVR audience was lacking.

Clement Virgo has been tapped as an executive producer on OWN’s upcoming megachurch drama Greenleaf, reports Variety. Virgo will also direct the series’ first episode. Described as a multigenerational family drama, Greenleaf follows the titular family and its Memphis church.

Nine more presenters have been announced for the 67th Emmy Awards. They include Jaimie Alexander, Anthony Anderson, James Corden, Jamie Lee Curtis, Will Forte, Rob Lowe, Gina Rodriguez, Tracee Ellis Ross and Liev Schreiber. The ceremony airs Sunday, September 20 at 8p on FOX.

Wheel of Fortune kicks off its 33rd season with a new director. Robert Ennis has been promoted to the post after serving as technical director for the CBS TV Distribution-syndicated game show since 1992.

Turner Classic Movies launches on Amazon Fire TV this fall, making it the first network in the Turner Broadcasting portfolio to be available via the streaming service. TCM is also ramping up its digital efforts with enhancements to the Watch TCM App, the launch of a new emoji keyboard app, and hosting a dedicated “download week” September 14 to 19 leading into the networks dedicated “Let’s Movie” holiday on September 19.

The birthday suit drama goes on. VH1 has greenlit a third season of Dating Naked, the reality series that explores romance free of preconceived stereotypes – and clothes. The show’s season two finale airs Wednesday, September 16 at 9p.

Via a deal with distributor all3media International, Starz has secured exclusive U.S. premium rights to Close to the Enemy. The net will co-produce the original, six-episode miniseries, written and directed by Stephen Poliakoff (Dancing on the Edge, Glorious 39, The Lost Prince). The project is expected to premiere on BBC Two in the UK and Starz in the U.S. in 2016.



Bravo Media presents The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In, beginning Sunday, October 11 at 8p. The three-part special follows Joe Giudice and his family coping without beloved matriarch Teresa, as she serves out her prison term. Despite her absence, Teresa remains a major presence with daily “check in” calls and frequent family prison visits.

NBC‘s America’s Got Talent concludes its 10th anniversary season with two nights of special guests. Rapper Flo Rida gives a special performance of “My House” and “I Don’t Like It, I Love It,” featuring the Rockettes, tonight at 8p. The series wraps tomorrow at 9p with encore performances by the AGT finalists, accompanied by guests including Rachel Platten, Penn & Teller and gospel legend Yolanda Adams with the Harlem Gospel Choir.

The bright lights of Las Vegas serve as the backdrop for Barrett-Jackson Live on Velocity and Discovery Channel beginning Thursday, September 24 at 2p through Saturday, September 26. The networks will team up to broadcast 24 hours of live coverage of the last Barrett-Jackson auction in 2015 from the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
The inaugural television broadcast of The 2015 Triumph Awards airs Saturday, October 3 at 8p on TV One. The ceremony, hosted by Tichina Arnold and presented by Reverend Al Sharpton and National Action Network, will recognize artists including recording artist and philanthropist Tyrese Gibson, who was presented with the Entertainer of the Year honor by Martin Luther King III.

TV5MONDE USA celebrates Paris Fashion Week with two documentaries. Marc Jacobs et Louis Vuitton, airing Monday, September 28 at 8:30p, focuses on the life and creative direction of Jacobs while he led the Louis Vuitton fashion house from 1997 to 2013. Paco Rabanne, Mode Revolutionnaire (Paco Rabanne, Revolutionary Fashion), airing Monday, September 28 at 9:25p, centers on the renowned fashion designer.


NBC has renewed The Carmichael Show for a second season. “We’re extremely proud of The Carmichael Show and Jerrod’s voice and point of view is a breath of fresh air in a comedy series,” said Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment. “This show made a big impact with viewers and critics because it’s funny and relatable, but also because it’s fearless about discussing issues that are significant in the world today.”

Undrafted returns to NFL Network for a second season with a special premiere on CBS Wednesday, September 16 at 10p. The special includes an extended peek at new series, Football Town: Barrow, Alaska. Undrafted bows on Tuesday, September 22 at 8p on NFL Network.

This Old House reveals two ways to create historical style with a classic Victorian restoration and a brand new 18th century style farmhouse. The home improvement series premieres Thursday, October 1 on PBS. Check local listings.


Rafael de la Fuente will be back for a multiple episode arc on Season 2 of Empire, reports TVLine. The FOX series returns on Wednesday, September 23 at 9p on FOX.

Dash Mihok (Ray Donovan) has landed a guest spot on Chicago P.D.‘s upcoming third season. The NBC series returns Wednesday, September 30 at 10p.


The Canadian Film Centre and Entertainment One have teamed up to create the CFC/eOne TV Adaptation Lab. The new venture will develop pilot scripts based on literary works with strong potential for small-screen series.

The Africa Channel has revealed a fall programming slate featuring 80+ hours of fresh content, headlined by the September 28 premiere of the daily morning show Expresso, the first series to ever air live in Africa and then on tape the next day in the U.S. Other programs include: Care for Color, a reality-based docu-series celebrating beauty and wellness, and Diaries, which profiles the businesses, people and places that shape Africa.

UK broadcaster Channel 4 has commissioned new original series All Hail the Veil from Half Yard Productions. The 3-episode mini series features bridal experts and brides from across the UK and was shot on location in Manchester.
