“Dark Winds” has been renewed for a third season on AMC and AMC+, with a target premiere date in early 2025. Season two was a top 10 cable drama for the current broadcast season, averaging 1.7 million viewers on AMC in Nielsen Live+3 ratings; season one is currently being featured on Max as part of a two-month programming pop-up of select AMC Networks’ shows on the WBD streaming service.
“Wheel of Fortune” co-host Vanna White, whose contract is up at the end of this season, has extended her contract for two more years. That means White will work with new host Ryan Seacrest, who takes the wheel of the syndicated game show from Pat Sajak next fall.
NewsNation has re-signed Dan Abrams (“Dan Abrams Live”) to a new multi-year deal. “Dan is a veteran and master journalist whose passion for media and law and crime has made him one of the most unrivaled in the industry,” said Sean Compton, President of Nexstar Networks. “We are pleased that he will remain at NewsNation as we continue to build a premier cable news network with a distinct mission of fair and unbiased news reporting.”
The WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes aren’t keeping Hallmark from spreading holiday cheer. Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will offer 40 new, original movies, as well as special content for streamer Hallmark Movies Now. Christmas programming kicks off Friday, October 20.
“Archer” fans can breathe easy. The animated comedy has expanded the availability of its 14th and final season by making episodes available post-premiere on VOD systems for the FX and FXX linear channels as well as streaming next day on Hulu. The move enables Spectrum cable customers, who lost access to FXX in the new carriage agreement between FXX parent Disney and Spectrum parent Charter, to find the show.
The 4A’s is teaming with climate platform 51toCarbonZero to help agencies establish their carbon footprint. 4A’s members will receive discounted access to a cloud-based tool developed by 51-0 to better understand their emissions, and have access to its climate experts. “Incorporating sustainability into agency decision-making should be an imperative across the advertising and marketing industry today,” said 4A’s CEO Marla Kaplowitz.

Charter Communications is awarding $1.1 million to 46 nonprofit organizations through its Spectrum Digital Education grant program. Charter has committed more than $9 million total to the initiative, which supports broadband technology programs, education and training in unserved and underserved communities throughout Charter’s service area.

Strong Studios (“Safehaven,” “Flagrant”) is partnering with Convergent Media, UK’s ForLan Films and M-Net/Multichoice Africa to produce the new crime drama series, “Endangered.” The project is based on a novel from South African crime writer Rudie Van Rensburg.
The rights to bestseller White House By The Sea: A Century of the Kennedys at Hyannis Port have landed at 101 Studios, which is planning a TV adaptation. “Kate Storey spent years researching for this book and it really shows in how she was able to bring these characters to life,” said David Glasser, CEO of 101 Studios. “Viewers will be able to get to know the Kennedy family in a way they have never seen before.”

Australian hit comedy “Colin From Accounts” launches Thursday, November 9 on Paramount+. The series following two flawed, funny people is produced by CBS Studios, in association with Easy Tiger Productions, and distributed internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
Preschool series “Jessica’s Big Little World” debuts Monday, October 2 at 8a on Cartoon Network. The “Craig of the Creek” spinoff centers on the adventures of Craig’s little sister.
“Talking in Circles with Clint Black” is back for season five on Saturday, October 7 at 10p on Circle Network. New interviewees include Paula Abdul, Bret Michaels, Elle King, John Oates and more.
“Ella Camina Sola” (Ella Walks Alone) premieres Friday, September 29 on ViX. The 10-part whodunit focuses on a high school teacher who investigates allegations of sexual harassment against a friend and colleague.
A new season of reality competition show “The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula,” hosted by horror drag icons The Boulet Brothers, premieres Tuesday, October 31 on Shudder and AMC+, with new episodes airing weekly on Tuesdays.
Four new cities were added for Raw Travel’s Season 11, including Abilene, Texas, on KRBC NBC 9; Boise, Idaho, on KIVI ABC 6; Mankato, Minnesota on KEYC CBS-12, and Watertown, New York on WNYF Fox 28.

Samsung Ads is expanding its actionable and dynamic video ad inventory via a partnership with BrightLine. With a suite of products that will enable Samsung Ads clients to run interactive ads beyond the existing QR coded and shoppable OLV inventory, BrightLine’s dynamic ad units allow for live and personalized ads, the addition of scrollable branded carousels, on screen polls, and trivia experiences that provide viewers with opportunities to engage and take action directly from their TV screen.
Ads that align with the video content being seen increases ad memorability, brand impact, and other metrics, according to a study from Integral Ad Science in partnership with Neuro-Insight. The study indicates that the brain becomes active and aids viewer engagement when watching a program, showing 14% increase in brand impact when ads match the tone of the content being viewed.
Mundo Hispano Digital announced the launch of The MundoNow Project, an advertising-led revenue initiative designed to help brands reach overlooked digital Latinos by partnering with diverse sites, and bring authentic reach and scale to brands. “It’s time we move to change the AdTech system as we know it, into something that effectively connects brands with real Latinos, acculturated and language-diverse as we are,” said MundoNow CEO Rene Alegria. “There are too many instances where brands just can’t connect with us at scale because we must either be ‘all Spanish-language this’ or ‘all general-market that.’”

Warner Bros. Discovery Sports is adding a Bleacher Report Sports Add-On tier to Max. Launching on Thursday, October 5, the Bleacher Report Sports Add-On package will include MLB, NHL, NBA, NCAA Men’s March Madness, and US Soccer events, “The Match,” studio shows, live video content from B/R, select live international sports events, and VOD content. The price is $10/month, and free to existing Max subscribers until February 29.
CrossFit’s flagship event, the CrossFit Games, will be hosted at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, from August 8-11, 2024. It’s the first time the Games will be held in the Lone Star State. “Fort Worth is a proven, easily accessible destination for high-profile events,” said Don Faul, CEO of CrossFit. “The 2024 Games will be anchored at the facility, giving our fans, athletes, partners, and the incredibly strong Texas affiliate community new opportunities to have the experience of a lifetime.”
Esports broadcaster Raidiant announced “Star Chasers Showdown,” a Rocket League tournament designed to celebrate and empower women and marginalized genders in gaming. Broadcast over two weekends in October, the event will showcase emerging talents from the North American and European Women’s Rocket League scenes.
Simplebet will unveil its golf markets at the LIV Golf Chicago event beginning Friday, September 22. The course at Rich Harvest Farms in Chicago will play host to a field of 48 golfers, marking the first event where Simplebet will create micro-betting markets for a LIV Golf tournament.
FITE by Triller and the Asian Football Confederation announced that the entire 2023-24 season will be streamed live on FITE+ in the UK and Ireland, Belgium, France and the Netherlands. The two-year deal makes FITE+ the exclusive way to watch the matches in those countries.

FOX Entertainment Global unveiled an expanded program slate for MIPCOM 2023, with the addition of unscripted content owned and produced by its in-house studios FOX Alternative Entertainment (FAE); Gordon Ramsay’s production entity Studio Ramsay Global; and entertainment brand TMZ, which join an animated content from Bento Box Entertainment, live-action comedy from FOX Entertainment Studios; and more than 20 movies produced by MarVista Entertainment. “As FOX Entertainment Global wraps a successful first year of operation and prepares to return to MIPCOM, our strategy to further expand our fast-growing library of owned content with global appeal is already making a meaningful impact on the international landscape,” said Fernando Szew, CEO of FEG and MarVista Entertainment.
Banijay Kids & Family inked a deal with digital studio TheSoul Publishing. The collaboration will introduce Banijay Kids & Family’s titles including “Mister Maker,” “Let’s Play” and “Lilybuds” to TheSoul Publishing’s FAST, AVOD and social content proposition.
WildBrain’s original animated series, “Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City,” is continuing to roll out to new territories with Amazon Kids+ acquiring seasons one and two for the US, while Stan in Australia and Spacetoon MENA have taken the first two seasons. Edye in Latin America and Caribbean has picked up season one and TVNZ in New Zealand season two, while TV2 signed a deal for the first three seasons for Hungary, Romania and Slovakia. Also in the US, NCircle Entertainment has signed for home entertainment rights for seasons one-three.
Fremantle struck an output deal for Jamie Oliver programming and lifestyle content with RTL Deutschland. The multi-year agreement will see RTL Deutschland become the exclusive home of Jamie Oliver’s entire portfolio of shows in Germany, having secured exclusive rights for Pay TV, Free TV, and streaming via AVOD and SVOD.
