New animated special “Reindeer in Here” premieres Tuesday, November 29 at 9p on CBS. Based on the book about a Christmas-saving young reindeer who has one antler that’s much smaller than the other, the special will air after 1964 holiday classic “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”
Dennis Quaid has joined the cast of HBO Max’s “Full Circle,” a limited series about a botched kidnapping from director Steven Soderbergh and writer Ed Solomon. Clare Danes, Timothy Olyphant and Zazie Beetz also star.
Linear Spanish networks earned $1.5B in revenue between October 2021-July 2022, and achieved +9% growth in back-to-back years, according to Standard Media Index. Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment have been named executive producers of the 95th Oscars. Weiss also will direct the show, which airs on ABC Sunday, March 12. It will be Weiss’s second time and Kirshner’s first time producing the big show – which, if The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences CEO Bill Kramer has his way, will get a refresh. “Clearly there is a need to reinvigorate the show and we are hard at work with our great partners at Disney-ABC on this,” said Kramer at AMPAS’ membership meeting on Saturday.
“STARZ deal done, we had nothing but success so no hard feelings,” posted Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson over the weekend on social media. The executive producer of the “Power” franchise and his G-Unit Film & Television is reportedly leaving for a major new deal.
HBO Max is not moving forward with “Constantine” or “Madame X,” projects from Bad Robot in association with Warner Bros. Television. Both shows will be shopped elsewhere, reports Deadline.
Wendy Makkena (“A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood”) has jumped onboard Paramount+ series “Rabbit Hole,” starring Keifer Sutherland as a man framed for murder.

“Stephen Colbert Presents Tooning Out the News” kicks off a new season on Comedy Central beginning Wednesday, October 5. The series will air 13 episodes on Wednesday nights following “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.” Episodes will feature returning and all-new characters across the current show segments: “Big News,” “Virtue Signal,” “Hot Take,” and “Inside The Hill.”
“Mystery Road: Origin” premieres with two episodes on Acorn TV on Monday, September 26. A pair of new eps will drop weekly through October 10.

TV5Monde USA celebrates the work of the late director Jean-Luc Godard with two films this month. “Masculin Féminin” (1966) will air on Sunday, September 25 at 8:30p, while “Detective” (1985) is slated for Tuesday, September 27 at 8:30 PM/ET. Godard died September 13 at age 91.

FOX Sports and FuboTV announced coverage plans and new broadcast schedules for the second window of the UEFA Nations League 2022/23 competition. From Wednesday, September 21, through the end of the second window of match days on Tuesday, September 27, FOX Sports will feature 23 UEFA Nations League 2022/23 matches across FS1, FS2 and FOX Soccer Plus. A total of 30 UEFA Nations League 2022/23 matches will stream exclusively on sports-first live TV streaming platform FuboTV’s Fubo Sports Network, as part of FuboTV’s subscription packages featuring 125+ sports, news and entertainment channels.
The WNBA continues to roll as Thursday’s game 3 of the WNBA Finals between the Aces and Sun averaged 579,000 viewers for ESPN last week, up 9% over Game 3 a year ago, with audiences peaking at 686,000. Through 22 games (before last night’s), the WNBA postseason is up 24% over the previous year through Game 3.
Speaking of ESPN, tonight sees the network present two Monday Night Football games for the first time, with staggered kickoff times and overlapping action on the same night beginning at 7:15p with Titans/Bills on ESPN and Vikings/Eagles at 8:30p on ABC. The two games, which will be shown in full on each respective network, will overlap for roughly one half of football, creating a Sunday afternoon environment in primetime. Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Lisa Salters will be in Philadelphia; Steve Levy, Dan Orlovsky, Louis Riddick and Laura Rutledge will be in Buffalo. Beginning at 8:30 p.m. throughout the overlapping action, both ESPN and ABC productions will create awareness of what is happening on the other network including activating a double-box view, allowing simultaneous viewing for periods of time.
ATP revealed “upgrades” to the ATP Challenger Tour, slating a record number of events and multi-million dollar prize money increases. The ATP will phase out the Challenger 90 and 110 categories, reducing the number of categories from six to four. In addition, ATP will introduce three new premium Challenger 175 events. Total prize money on the Challenger Tour will rise from $13.2 million in 2022 to a record $21.1 million in 2023, an increase of 60 per cent.
The NFL and the German Football League, organizing body of Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2, cemented a deal to collaborate in key business areas with a particular focus on the U.S. and German markets in a move to beef up communication and collaboration in the areas of production, broadcast and programming, digital innovation and marketing. For its part, the NFL will play its first regular-season game in Germany on Nov. 13, 2022 at Munich’s Allianz Arena between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks. Germany will host one regular season NFL game in each of the next four years, alternating between Munich and Frankfurt.
Maryland Athletics locked in a partnership with SECU, Maryland’s largest state-chartered credit union, naming SECU as the Official Banking Partner of the Maryland Terrapins. In addition to the official partner designation, the facility previously known as Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium will be renamed SECU Stadium and will debut on Oct. 1, 2022 as Maryland Football hosts Michigan State for its Big Ten home opener.

Banijay Rights is set to launch its first Banijay-branded general entertainment FAST channel. Horizons: Powered By Banijay will feature a number of series from Banijay’s e 130,000-plus hour catalogue including “Location, Location, Location,” and “Pointless,” as well as drama series “Gunpowder” and “The Woman in White.” The FAST channel launches this week and features new integrated “Powered by Banijay” branding.
France’s TF1 and M6 have called off their plan to merge. The move came after an appearance in front of the French Competition Authority this month, which earlier had found “significant competition problems” with the deal. Owners of TF1 and R6 said, “We continue to firmly believe that a merger of the TF1 and M6 groups would have provided an appropriate response to the challenges resulting from the increased competition from the international platforms.”

Fox drama “Monarch” has reached more than 10 million viewers across four linear telecasts and digital platforms, with a total view time surpassing 500 million minutes. The program’s Sunday premiere registered a 1.0/7 Live+3 rating among A18-49 and 4.7M multi-platform viewers.
The premiere of TLC’s “Sister Wives” made the network #1 in cable among P/W25-54/18-49/18-34 and P2+ demos. The premiere brought in an average of 2.2M P2+ viewers and delivered an average 1.91 W25-54 rating. It was also the highest season premiere in 6 years with a 1.42 W18-49 rating.
This year’s Emmy Awards may have hit an all-time low linear ratings-wise, but social video views were up 150%. Across NBCU’s platforms, 1.1 billion minutes of Emmys content were consumed.
Season two of Food Network’s “Alex vs America” reached more than 9.1 M P2+ viewers, +44% vs season one. For the run, the series averaged .6 P18+ and .9 W18+ Live+3 ratings, an increase of +17% vs. prior season for both demos.
