EXECUTIVE MOVES

Vince Hudson has been named to the newly created role of Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer of BET. Hudson joins BET from beverages company Diageo, where he was SVP, Global and U.S. Smirnoff and SVP, U.S. Multicultural Marketing and Vodka Innovation.

Sarah Personette will join Twitter as Global Head of Client Solutions in mid-October. Personette was most recently COO of Refinery29.

Crown Media Family Networks announced three appointments: Rachel Snyder as Director of Social Media, Unscripted Programming; Sajaad Shah as Director, Email Marketing; and Leilani Gushiken as Director, Production, EPK & Gallery.

Discovery Channel elevated Scott Lewers to Executive Vice President of Multiplatform Programming and Digital Media, and Jennifer Williams to the newly-created role of Executive Vice President of Global Talent Management and Brand Strategy and Operations, Discovery and Factual.

The IAB upped Michael Texidor to Vice President, Learning and Development, and named Breda O’Reilly as Vice President, Investment and Relations. Texidor joined IAB in 2016 as the Director of IAB’s learning and certification operations portfolio, while O’Reilly most recently served as the Digital Advertising Director for The New Yorker.

Imran Khan, Snap’s Chief Strategy Officer, is leaving the company “to pursue other interests,” according to Smap. Khan, who will remain until a successor is found, is starting his own investment firm, according to Bloomberg.

Ron Hines was promoted to Senior Vice President, Creative Development, Global Experience Design for Nickelodeon. In his new role, Hines will lead a team creative development for Nick attractions and exhibits.

Amobee appointed Scott Ferber as Chief Innovation Officer and Domenic Venuto as Chief Operating Officer. Ferber had been CEO of Videology, while Venuto was previously General Manager of IBM’s Watson Consumer Division and Watson Advertising.

American Public Television named Shawn Halford as Vice President of Exchange Content and Digital Services, starting in October. Halford, who currently oversees strategic planning and scheduling of national PBS general audience and children’s content across multiple channels and platforms, succeeds Chris Funkhouser, who is retiring after nearly 40 years in public media.

Fly on the Wall Entertainment promoted Patrick Agans to a multi-year deal as Executive Vice President of Development. Agans had been SVP.
