Fox reports Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards delivered 1.9 million total viewers, up 12% from last year, and a .6/2 rating among A18-49, up 20%. Among A18-34, the show was even with .4/2 in early numbers and ranked #1 for the night in Teens (1.5/11).
Bravo’s season 9 finale of The Real Housewives of New York City delivered a season high among all key demos, with 1.4 million P18-49 (up +14% versus the prior week’s episode), 1.7 million P25-54 (up +12%), and 2.7 million total viewers (up +6%) in Live+3 Nielsens.
USA’s The Sinner grew in its second week in A18-49 (+7% to 1.4 million), A25-54 (+5% to 1.6 million) and A18-34 (+4% to 543,000). Over its first two episodes, the series is averaging 3.5 million P2+ in Live+3.
Part 1 of History’s 3-night The Cars That Made America delivered 1.6 million total viewers on Sunday, growing 35% from its first to last half hour and becoming the network’s second most-watched special telecast of 2017 to date in total viewers. Counting Cars, which followed, drew 1.2 million total viewers, up nine percent versus its last premiere.

Kevin Smith was appointed Senior Vice President Business Development & Partnerships for Dick Clark Productions. Most recently, Smith was SVP at Comcast Media 360.
Entertainment Studios hired Eric Gould as Executive Vice President of Finance and Chief Investment Officer. Gould comes to Entertainment Studios from Guggenheim, where was a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager.
Hit+Run promoted Noah Korn to Vice President of Development. Korn was previously Director of Development at ITV Studios America.
Deluxe Entertainment appointed Walter Schonfeld as President of Deluxe Distribution. Schonfeld, who joined the company in 2016, had been President of Digital Cinema Global Operations.
Sling TV founding CEO Roger Lynch is leaving the Dish Network company to join music streaming company Pandora as CEO and President, effective September 18. To fill the hole at Sling TV, Dish Presdent Erik Carlson will start overseeing the OTT service.

Actor/director/writer Joe Bologna died after battling pancreatic cancer. He was 82. Among the television writing credits for Bologna and his wife of 52 years, Renee Taylor, were TV series Calucci’s Department and American Dream Machine, and specials Acts of Love and Other Comedies and Bedrooms.
