PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT
 
Pop’s Hot Date starts production this week in Chicago, headed for a fall premiere. Will Arnett (Arrested Development) and College Humor’s Big Breakfast are producing the 10-episode comedy skewering the social mores of dating, sex and marriage.
 
A&E ordered 100 additional episodes of Live PD from Big Fish Entertainment. The docu-series, averaging 1.4 million total viewers in Live+7, has more than doubled the A&E year-ago time period numbers. New episodes will air Friday and Saturday nights at 9p throughout the summer.
 
Toni Collette (United States of Tara) and her new production company, Vocab Films, have partnered with RadicalMedia to develop Julia Dahl’s “Invisible City,” a psychological thriller set in Brooklyn’s ultra orthodox Hasidic Jewish community. Colette, who wrote the pilot, will serve as executive producer.
 
A fall production schedule has been set for 11 episodes of HGTV’s Property Brothers and 6 of spinoff Property Brothers: Buying & Selling. The new installments will premiere in 2018.
 
Jesse Collins will exec produce BET awards show 2017 Black Girls Rock! through his production company Jesse Collins Entertainment, part of  his first look production deal with BET Networks.
 
Paul Simms inked an overall deal with FX Productions, calling for him to develop, write and produce TV projects exclusively for FXP. He’ll continue as exec producer on FX’s Atlanta.
 
 
COMING UP
 
FX Networks is bringing back FXhibition to San Diego Comic-Con July 20-23, with installations from shows including Legion, American Horror Story, Atlanta and Archer. The space will also host an early screening of the first 2 episodes of the final season of The Strain.
 
Conan episodes airing from Comic-Con July 19, 20, 22 and 23 will include cast members from Game of Thrones, Supernatural, and Netflix’s Bright. The shows will be available across TBS and Team Coco platforms the following day.
 
Jokers wild: truTV’s Impractical Jokers are returning to San Diego for a supersized block party on Saturday, July 22 on the Field at Petco Park in the Gaslamp. Last year’s event drew 12,000 fans. Mountain Dew will have ownership of the experience, as part of the brand’s year-long partnership with Jokers.
 
The 3rd annual “We Day” special will air on CBS Friday, August 4 at 8p, aimed at inspiring Americans to make a difference. Joining host Selena Gomez will be Alessia Cara, Josh Gad, Tyrese Gibson, Alicia Keys, DJ Khaled, Demi Lovato, Miss Piggy along with other Muppets, Lilly Singh and more.

Turner Asia Pacific announced the launch of its “Code the Future with Cartoon Network,” a program teaching the basics of computer programming in a fun and interactive way. With a Philippines-first launch, the effort is part of a broader campaign to introduce coding to schoolchildren in Asia.  
 
2016 revenue for UK’s Channel 4 was $1.3 billion, up 1.6% from the year prior. Despite an uncertain Brexit climate that will require a close eye on spending, chief executive David Abraham said the net was “very confident” it will weather a shaky ad environment.
 
Indian premium streaming platform Hotstar and CBS Corp. announced an SVOD content licensing and trademark agreement for Showtime in India. The deal will introduce the Showtime brand to India for the first time.
 
So You Think You Know Kung Fu and 8K Miles Media Group are teaming to bring competition series The Bruce Lee Project to South Asia and Middle East. SYTYKKF, a joint venture made up of Company Films (co-owned by Keanu Reeves and Stephen Hamel), Bruce Lee Entertainment, Benaroya Pictures and Metan Global Entertainment Group, created the series and oversees the format’s global rights and licensing.

Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City had its most watched P2+ episode of the season to date, delivering 1.3 million P18-49 (up +12% versus the prior week’s episode), 1.5 million P25-54 (up +9%), and 2.6 million total viewers (up +13%). Million Dollar Listing NY delivered a season high among all key demos, earning 731,000 P18-49 (up +6% versus the prior week’s episode), 902,000 P25-54 (up +9%), and 1.7 million total viewers (up +14%).
 
In syndication, The Doctors had a 14% (.8) lift the week of June 26 despite being in reruns on all five days, and along with Wendy Williams (1.4, up 8%) was the only show moving up the week ending July 2. True crime series Crime Watch Daily (.9), also in repeats, was up 13% over last year, the biggest annual improvement in the category
