Twitter is launching a new brand campaign designed to answer the question, “why Twitter?” Leveraging #SeeEverySide as part of the promotion, the newest element of the campaign will be a new ad that shows how sports stories unfold from the perspective of die-hard fans, experts in the field, credible news sources, athletes and influencers and voices from around the world. The spot takes on “The Greatest of All Time” and features Shaquille O’Neal, Julius Erving and Abby Wambach.
Patriots star Rob Gronkowski is forwarding his ties with Oberto Beef Jerky and will be featured in the brand’s new digital series, ‘Tales from the Trail,’ potraying ‘Ranger Rob’ to promote their new Jerky Trail Mix. Videos can be seen on Oberto’s social platforms and YouTube channel.
Whistle Sports is partnering with Buffalo Wild Wings and NBC Sports to develop the new digital series Forces in Football, starring social influencers F2, who boast over 12 million social followers. The series will look to review and dissect “some of the craziest and most breathtaking goals in recent English Premier League and FA Cup history, whether it’s a stoppage time winner, a penalty kick or just overall smashing feats of skill,” according to the company. The series features a dozen eps, of which six will highlight EPL goals on NBC Sports’ digital platforms with the other half focusing on FA Cup goals appearing on F2’s YouTube channel.
WWE will make the first-ever Mae Young Classic women’s tournament available to stream exclusively on WWE Network, starting Aug. 28 with the first four episodes available on demand. Episodes five through eight will then be made available on demand on Sept. 4 with the final match coming from Las Vegas on Sept. 12. The Mae Young Classic will be called by announcer Jim Ross, who will be joined on color commentary by Lita.
DMG Entertainment is launching DMG Esports, making an investment in (as well as a strategic partnership with) Super League Gaming. DMG Esports will now be integrated across all of DMG’s divisions, including film, gaming, VR, and location-based entertainment and the two companies will look to combine forces to grow the league, which now includes 12 official city teams in the United States.
After more than 196,000 votes, Bud Light unveiled its 2017 Bud Light All-Stars – JWong (Street Fighter), Scump (Call of Duty), RUSH (Counter Strike: Global Offensive), and Hafu (Hearthstone). Today will see the brand host a special 8-hour stream with all four players on its Twitch channel, each Bud All-Star will stream for two hours, beginning at 5p where they will reward fans watching by putting 2 Million Bits, along with other prizes up for grabs. Starting Thursday and running through December, one of the four players will stream from the channel during the Bud Light Happy Hour.
