Fox’s MasterChef (1.4/7 Live+3, +27% vs. Live+SD) grew +17% from a week ago, tying its premiere rating from two weeks prior. The show was also Wednesday’s top program with a +17% edge over Little Big Shots (1.2/6 Live+3).
Univision’s broadcast of Sandra Padilla being named La Reina de la Cancion garnered 4.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 863,000 A18-49 and 333,000 A18-34, making it the number one Spanish-language network during its two-hour finale. The show out-performed its closest competitor by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+61%), A18-49 (+70%) and A18-34 (+68%). For the entire night (8-11p) Univision as the number two network, out-delivering CBS, NBC, FOX and CW among A18-34.

EXECUTIVE MOVES
Matt Cherniss, President and General Manager of WGN America and Tribune Studios since March 2013, is stepping down at the end of the month.
Denise Contis is leaving her post as Senior EVP Development and Production, Discovery Communications after nearly nine years; initially at TLC and then at Discovery Channel. There is no immediate replacement.
ESPN upped Connor Shell, who oversees ESPN films, original content, audio and the company’s talent office, to Executive Vice President of Content. In addition, Justin Connolly, Executive Vice President of Affiliate Sales and Marketing, adds strategy and development to his current duties, overseeing distribution for Disney and ESPN Media Networks. Marie Donoghue, Executive Vice President of Global Business and Content Strategy, will remain with ESPN through the end of the year in an advisory role.
Justin Manfredi joined AMC and SundanceTV as Senior Vice President of Marketing. He had been Global Senior Director of Digital Marketing at Activision.
Ivan Dunleavy, previously Chief Executive Officer of Pinewood Group, was hired as non-executive Chairman of VFX firm Milk.
FreemantleMedia International appointed Nick Pawsey as Vice President of Sales and Distribution. He last served as Director of Sales, Strategy and Development at NBC Universal International Television.
AccuWeather hired Bill McGarry as Vice President of Sales. He had been Chief Revenue Officer at The Daily Beast.
Comcast hired David Clark to run Advanced Advertising Group, the new umbrella for its ad tech businesses. He was previously an executive at The Weather Channel.
Outdoor Sportsman Group promoted Bill Osborn to Executive Vice President of Networks Group. He had served as Senior Vice President of Marketing.
