A study by MarketShare for Turner Broadcasting and in partnership with Horizon Media concludes television advertising effectiveness has not changed, still outperforming multiple digital and offline channels at driving key performance metrics. TV had the highest relative efficiency at driving such KPIs as sales and new accounts, found the study; when comparing performance at similar spend levels, television drove, on average, 4 times the sales lift of digital overall. The analysis also determined that TV networks’ premium digital video delivered higher-than-average returns compared to shortterm video content from non-premium publishers.

Do you sing and dance to your favorite song while driving in the car alone or do you binge watch your favorite “Chick Flicks” on a Friday night? Last week, we asked our readers, "What do you do for fun when no one is looking?" and here’s what some of you had to say…
- At the office… Cute cat, puppy, or baby videos. I’m a sucker! At home, mobile games… defending my territory, going after bad guys, buying treasure. On the golf course playing alone… Out loud conversations with myself as if I was my own psychotherapist, talking about my feelings and my future. I’m nuts! Tom Goosmann, Chief Creative Officer, True North Inc.
- I get sucked down the rabbit hole of StreetEasy. Like so many of my fellow New Yorkers, I’m addicted to real estate porn. Chris McCarthy, EVP of MTV and General Manager of MTV2, mtvU, and Logo
- Read the New York Post on the subway home. Dave Morgan, CEO, Simulmedia
- I perform stand-up comedy. I just won my first comedy competition, a year after I first started doing it. Tara Brown, Media Relations Manager, INSP
- I play with my original Bionic Woman, Fembot, and Oscar Goldman dolls, making up chapters in a drama that’s been going on since I was seven years old. Amy Kessler, KDIA/KDYA Radio
- Use Spotify to DJ my favorite 80’s new wave bands such as Depeche Mode, New Order, Yaz, Pet Shop Boys and Erasure! Jason Miller, EVP, Advertising Sales & Integrated Marketing, Fuse Media
- Read Kid’s Lit. This new genre is amazing for a fantastic, fun and fairly-sarcastic view of the modern fairy tale. Right now I’m reading "Bad Unicorn," about a people-eating princess unicorn destroying Earth. Explaining that in First Class after an upgrade is entertaining. Sarah Foss, Vice President, Product Management, Advertising Management Systems, Imagine Communications
