RATINGS
ABC won the final Monday of the season and hit its highest ratings on the night since March, with 10.4 million viewers and a 1.8/7 rating among A18-49 for night 1 of the Dancing With the Stars finale, and 5.7 million viewers and a 1.8/6 in the demo for the season premiere of The Bachelorette.
The second week of Live with Kelly & Ryan dipped 12% but held onto second place among talkers with a 2.2 HH rating, behind Dr. Phil (3.3) but ahead of Ellen DeGeneres (2.1). Dr. Oz was down 8% to match a series low 1.1, down 21% from last year.
Saturday’s premiere of The Wizard of Lies, starring Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer as Bernie and Ruth Madoff, delivered 1.5 million viewers for its 8p linear debut, a number than ballooned to 2.4 million with replays on cable and HBO GO/NOW.
The Sunday night finale of Food Network’s Iron Chef Gauntlet posted a .9 P25-54 rating (810,000 IMP), up 30% vs. a year ago and ranking #3 for its time slot across cable. The 6-week stunt averaged a .8 P25-54 rating (730,000 IMP), up 23% vs. last year, and was viewed by more than 20 million people (P2+). Ranking No. 2 for the 8p. time slot, Food Network Star’s Comeback Kitchen launched with a .7 P25-54 rating (660,000 IMP), up 14% vs. a year ago.

AMC Networks has created a new advertising sales division to be headed by company vet Ilene Danuff, in her newly elevated role as Senior Vice President, cross portfolio and partnership sales. Additionally, Adam Gaynor has joined the company as VP, advertising and data solutions, sales.
Susan Malfa has been named Executive Vice President of Advertising Sales for Katz Broadcasting’s Bounce, Escape, Grit and LAFF, overseeing all ad sales efforts. As Senior Vice President at NBCUniversal, Malfa ran ad sales for Bravo, Oxygen, Style and Sprout.
IN MEMORIAM
Actor Sir Roger Moore died May 23 after a short battle with cancer. He was 89. Before playing James Bond in seven 007 films between 1973 and 1985, Moore starred in TV shows including Ivanhoe, The Alaskans, Maverick and The Saint.
Actress and philanthropist Dina Merrill died May 22 of Lewy Body dementia. She was 93. Along with numerous film roles, Merrill guested on television shows including Bonanza, Mission: Impossible and The Odd Couple.
