The times they are a changin’: Bob Dylan will perform on CBS’s Late Show tomorrow, May 19, David Letterman’s penultimate night as host. Dylan’s last performance on Late Show took place in 1993.
The Twin Peaks revival is back on at Showtime, and “even bigger than we expected,” said net president David Nevins. Creator David Lynch, who pulled out of the limited event series in early April over financial issues, will direct the whole shebang, which will include more than the originally-announced nine hours. “Totally worth the extra brewing time,” said Nevins. Cult fave Peaks aired in 1990-91.
ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos apologized for not disclosing charitable contributions he made to the Clinton Foundation during the time he was reporting on the nonprofit, and said he will not moderate ABC News’ GOP primary debate as a result. “I made charitable donations to the Foundation in support of the work they’re doing on global AIDS prevention and deforestation, causes I care about deeply,” Stephanopoulos said. “I thought that my contributions were a matter of public record. However, in hindsight, I should have taken the extra step of personally disclosing my donations to my employer and to the viewers on air during the recent news stories about the Foundation.” Calling it an “honest mistake,” ABC News said they stand behind Stephanopoulos.

UP TV is partnering with the American Black Film Festival on an initiative designed to generate new original scripted and unscripted series content for multicultural audiences."UP Flips the Script to Series: Remixing the Development Pipeline” replaces the five-year run of the "UP Faith & Family Screenplay Competition," which generated five feature-length films for the network.

On average during the May sweep, ABC was up 27 percent on Thursday among A18-49 (to 1.9) and led the night during the month for the first time since May 2009. The net boasts it was the only broadcaster up on the night May to May.
Up against the season finales of ABC’s Scandal and NBC’s The Blacklist, the premiere of Fox limited series Wayward Pines delivered 1.0/3 among A18-49 on Thursday, holding its Bones lead-in number.
Thursday A18-49 Analysis: ABC won the most A18-49 viewers Thursday with 1.8/6, according to final primetime national ratings from Nielsen. ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy won 8p with 2.2/8, versus a 1.9/7 average for a Big Bang Theory repeat and fresh Odd Couple. ABC kept the lead at 9p with 2.3/8 for Scandal, followed by a 1.9/6 average for a pair of Big Bang reruns. CBS’s Elementary was tops at 10p with 1.2/4 for Elementary, followed by 1.1/4 for Telemundo’s Senor de los Cielos and Univision’s Que te Perdone Dios…Yo No.
