American Idol’s second live broadcast delivered 8.6 million viewers and a 1.8 rating among A18-49, steady with last week’s 8.7 million/1.9 numbers and the number one show of the night in the demo.
The two-hour premiere of Univision game show Al Final Todo Queda En Familia on Sunday averaged 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 532,000 A18-49 and 226,000 A -34.
Velocity saw high single-digit and double-digit primetime gains in April, for 17 consecutive months of delivery growth in P25-54, P/M18+ and Persons, as well as its best April ever in P/M25-54, P/M18-49, P/M18+ and P2+. Helping drive growth was the series premiere of JDM Legends on Tuesday, April 17, the net’s second-most-watched series debut ever among M25-54.
The broadcast premiere of County Line was the highest-rated exclusive film to air on INSP. Said Dale Ardizzone, INSP COO, “’County Line’ is part of our ongoing strategy to license exclusive content.”
TLC earned its highest rated April in more than a decade among viewers A25-54 and was a top 10 network year-to-date across its key female demo (#4 W25-54, #5 W18-49, #8 W18-34). One boost came from the return of Trading Spaces, which lifted the net to the #1 spot in all of television among W25-54 and W18-49 during its premiere telecast.

Ramon Jimenez was named Senior Vice President of Insights and Strategy for MTV, VH1 and Logo. In this newly created role, Jimenez will oversee the consumer and cultural insights, strategy and social impact efforts across the networks. Jimenez joins the company from Droga5, where he was Group Strategy Director.
Snap Chief Financial Officer Drew Vollero is leaving his role on May 15, serving in advisory capacity through August. He’ll be replaced by Tim Stone, who led Amazon’s integration of WholeFoods.
Three promotions at UP TV: Philip Manwaring has been elevated to Chief Financial Officer & Chief Technology Officer; Reta Peery was upped to Chief Administrative & Operations Officer; and Becky Courson is now Vice President, Controller.
