RATINGS
Ratings for the bulk of the top syndicated shows were forced to contend with marathon coverage of Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg’s two-day testimony before the Senate’s Commerce and Judiciary Committees, during the session ending April 18. On the positive side, Live With Kelly and Ryan (2.2 Live+SD national Nielsen rating, steady from the previous frame) was the sole talker in the top tree to avoid any week-to-week declines. It outperformed Ellen DeGeneres (2.1, down 5%) and finished alone in second place behind Dr. Phil. (3.1, down 9%).
Rookie Page Six TV (0.7) rose 25% in the W25-54 money demo and ranked as the season’s youngest-skewing newcomer to first-run syndication by a significant margin. In access time periods the race was close. Inside Edition (2.9, down 3%) lost some ground, but finished in a dead heat at the top of the magazine category with Entertainment Tonight (2.9), which held steady.
Univision’s two-hour broadcast of children talent competition series Pequenos Gigantes on Sunday attracted 2.1 million Total Viewers, 729,000 A18-49 and 230,000 A18-34.
