“Fire Country,” “60 Minutes” and six other series on CBS averaged more than 10 million viewers per episode in MP+35. After 35 days of multi-platform viewing, “NCIS” totaled 11.7 million viewers, “Ghosts” reached 11.6 million viewers and “FBI” came in third with 11.4 million viewers; “Blue Bloods,” “Young Sheldon” and “The Equalizer” also made the list, with “FBI: Most Wanted” totaling 9.5 million viewers as the closest runner-up.

Peacock original series “Poker Face” took the silver medal in streaming. The Rian Johnson series reached the number two seat on Nielsen’s US streaming originals list for the first week of February. With 641 million minutes viewed, the series was up nearly 100 million viewing minutes from its debut week on the streamer. “Ginny & Georgia” took the top spot with 900 million viewing minutes for the week.

Starz acquired the exclusive rights to “Three Women” with Shailene Woodley. Also starring Betty Gilpin, Dewanda Wise and Gabrielle Creevy, the 10-episode drama is based on the New York Times bestselling book of the same name by Lisa Taddeo. Taddeo said, “We set out to make a bluntly beautiful show about the way that women want to suffer and thrill, the way they make love and take love.”

PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT

“Tamron Hall” was renewed for a fifth season at ABC-owned television stations along Hearst, Nexstar, and other broadcast groups. The nationally syndicated daytime talk show, hosted by two-time Emmy winner Hall, currently averages more than 1 million viewers daily with an increase in total viewership of more than 9% year to year season to date.

The creator behind “True Detective” will develop a Western drama series with Amazon. Nic Pizzolatto is set to create the as-yet-untitled series surrounding a former outlaw living with threats from his past, according to the series description. Pizzolatto recently had a first-look deal with FX and Touchstone Television, with whom he had been developing “Redeemer” starring Matthew McConaughey, which was scrapped upon McConaughey’s exit.

WWE stars Brie and Nikki Bella will host Amazon’s reality dating competition “Twin Love” from ITV Entertainment. The social dating experiment will test the love lives of identical twins, who are split up and placed into houses of lookalike casts. The series is slated to launch this summer on Prime Video and Freevee.

“The Way Home” with Andie MacDowell will return for a second season. The Hallmark Channel original drama series also starring Chyler Leigh and Evan Williams. The series first launched in January and has ranked as the #1 program on Sundays among total viewers and women 18-54, according to Nielsen.

Fox Entertainment renewed “Krapopolis” for a third season. In collaboration with the media company’s animation studio Bento Box Entertainment, the series from Dan Harmon is set in mythical ancient Greece, when a family of humans, gods and monsters try their best to run the world’s first cities. “Krapopolis” will make its series premiere during the 2023-24 season.

Apple TV+ greenlit “Prehistoric Planet” for a sophomore season. The natural history series from Jon Favreau, Mike Gunton and BBC Studios Natural History Unit is narrated by David Attenborough. The second season will launch on the streaming service on May 22, for a week-long global premiere event.

NEW & RETURNING SERIES

“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” fifth and final season will premiere on April 14. The first three episodes will be available on Prime Video on the debut date, followed by new episodes released weekly.

TLC’s “Return to Amish” is set to air on March 14. The upcoming season will continue the story about a group of Amish and former Amish as they try to figure out where they belong – this time in Florida.

CASTING

William Baldwin, Ashanti, Xander Berkeley and Beverly D’Angelo joined “No Address.” The homelessness-awareness drama series has begun shooting in Sacramento, CA, with previously announced cast members, Ty Pennington, Lucas Jade Zumann, and more.

Soji Arai will star in season two of HBO Max’s crime series “Tokyo Vice.” Currently in production in Tokyo, the original series, led by Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe, follows an American journalist working in Tokyo who takes on one of the city’s crime bosses in the late 1990s. Arai will play Shingo, the lover and former colleague of the protagonist’s supervisor.

The CW’s “All American” cast Darone Okolie and Tre Hale in recurring roles. Okolie will play a former high school linebacker-turned-personal trainer, and Hale will play a potential college football recruit.

GOING GLOBAL

StudioCanal invested in up-and-coming startup production company Birdie Pictures. The production house’s first project will be a TV adaptation of Janice Hallett’s mystery thriller novel, “The Mysterious Case of the Alperton Angels,” which earned a spot on the Sunday Times Bestseller list in its first week of release.
