CNN is reportedly considering more flexible formats for its 9p-11p timeslot, including a possible comedic news show with a host like Bill Maher or Trevor Noah, according to Semafor. Lending heft to the report is the success Fox News is having with its late-night satiric news show “Gutfeld!”, and CNN CEO Chris Licht’s tenure as executive producer of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
