CBS and NBC are reportedly swapping Super Bowls, in a story broken by the New York Post, stating that the two networks will now exchange spots in the rotation for the broadcast of the 2021 and 2022 Super Bowls. CBS was slated to broadcast the event in 2022 but will now take the 2021 broadcast, while NBC will move back a year. The move now allows NBC to align the Super Bowl with its 2022 broadcast of the Winter Olympics, while CBS will now no longer have to compete with the event.
 
 
PROGRAMMING

FIFA Council members will be asked on Friday to approve a pilot tournament that will see an expanded 24-team Club World Cup take place in June-July 2021. The event will sport eight European participants, although plans for a worldwide Nations League are on hold, according to the AP. An overhaul of the current seven-team annual Club World Cup, normally in December, is being pursued by FIFA President Gianni Infantino to generate new interest and greater revenue despite ongoing opposition from Europe, with the long-term vision of the bigger tournament being staged every four years, per the report South America would have six slots in the first outing, with three each going to teams from Africa, Asia and CONCACAF while Oceania would get one representative.
 
FOX Sports is reporting its most-watched college hoops regular season ever, with men’s college basketball viewership pushing games on FOX and FS1 to increases of 21% year-over-year. FS1 alone was a 19% rise, which FOX viewership grew 3%.
 
When FOX Sports presents its first-ever PPV for the Premier Boxing Champions title fight on Saturday night, the company details production plans for the event, slating seven Super Motion cameras, SkyCam in the venue and three-axis DynamiCam mini-cable camera flying over the ring. In addition, the FOX Sports 22-camera arsenal also features a pair of live digital-cinema units. The action begins at 9p on Saturday.
 
The ATP released its 2020 ATP Tour calendar, with the season featuring 63 ATP tournaments across 29 countries, in addition to the four Grand Slams, as well as the introduction of the ATP Cup at the start of the year for the first time. The season will kick off with the inaugural ATP Cup, a new team event, while other changes in the calendar include: t The ATP 250 event in Pune, India, moving from week 1 to week 5; the ATP 250 event in Sofia, Bulgaria, moving from week 5 to week 39; and the return of Adelaide in week 2 of the ATP calendar for the first time since 2008. The season will culminate with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Nitto ATP Finals, as The O2 in London hosts the season finale for a twelfth consecutive year.
 
The Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos have been tapped to kick off the National Football League’s 100th season in the city where the league was born. The Falcons and Broncos are scheduled to face each other in the 2019 Hall of Fame Game on Aug. 1 at 8p in Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, adjacent to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The game marks the fourth appearance by each club in the annual preseason classic. The 2019 Hall of Fame Game will be televised nationally by NBC and called by the Sunday Night Football team, and broadcast nationally on radio by Westwood One.
 
In streaming news, The Dr Pepper Dallas Cup, the oldest international youth soccer tournament in the United States, reached a broadcast agreement with FloSports for the 2019 edition of the tournament on FloFC.com. The new partnership will see approximately 25 quarter-final, semi-final, and championship matches, from the U13 through U19 age brackets will be aired live on FloFC.
 
Meanwhile, the Olympic Channel global digital platform serves up live streaming coverage of the International Fencing Federation Foil Grand Prix in Anaheim on Sunday. More than 300 fencers will compete at the second foil event of the 2019 Grand Prix series, which comes back to Anaheim for the
