Scott Sternberg Productions and Weinberger Media established an exclusive working relationship with noted New York City law firm Tacopina Law to develop a daily stripped show called Legal Ease, offering real legal advice to ordinary Americans. Production for the series will be on location and the advice will be dispensed in-studio by Joseph Tacopina and his team of legal experts. Also involved in the production are The Biggest Loser producers Mark Koops and Howard T. Owens of Reveille and Ellen Rakieten. The series will follow Michaels as she works with a different family each week to shape them up with her version of tough love, giving them the tools needed to make healthy changes. CYNOPSIS DIGITAL – TODAY’S TOP STORY:  Yahoo reported its fourth consecutive quarter of declining sales as net revenue dropped 15%, display ad sales fell by 8% and search ad revenue dipped a precipitous 19%. But the company managed to exceed analysts estimates, thanks mostly to cost cutting measures, helping to boost net income to $186 million – up 244% from a year ago. “We had a solid third quarter that signals our major businesses have stabilized,” said CEO Carol Bartz in a press release. The company, waiting for regulators to approve a major search partnership with Microsoft, began an ambitious global marketing campaign last month after launching a major homepage redesign and making improvements to its email and IM platforms.    Full edition: CYN DIGITAL.

CYNOPSIS KIDS – TODAY’S TOP STORY:  The Harlem Globetrotters will make their way down the court to a new animated TV series with the help of Cookie Jar Group, which has been tapped as the exclusive global licensing agent and kids TV program development partner for the Harlem Globetrotters.  Cookie Jar Entertainment develops animated programming for the brand, while Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (CPLG), Cookie Jar’s licensing arm, will create a licensing program for the Globetrotters targeting those of us that grew up watching the group with a range of products (vintage apparel, collectibles) as well as a line for young fans (sporting goods, trading cards, interactive games).  For those of you trying to figure this out, it has been 39 years since Hanna-Barbera’s animated series, The Harlem Globetrotters, premiered on CBS, where it ran from 1970-72.  Animated versions of The Harlem Globetrotters also appeared in the 1970s on The New Scooby-Doo Movies and another Hanna-Barbera series called The Super Globetrotters.  Full edition: CYN KIDS.
