FX made a deal with Summit Entertainment, snapping up the ad-supported television rights to all four of the Twilight films. FX can begin airing last year’s first Twilight movie in late 2011; the just-released The Twilight Saga: New Moon will air on FX in late 2012; and the third movie in the series Eclipse, releasing theatrically on June 30, will be available on FX in early 2013. The package deal with Summit Entertainment also includes the films The Hurt Locker, Knowing and Push with all three available on FX in mid-2012. Furthermore, all seven films from Summit Entertainment will go to FX after their premium pay cable window on Showtime.
ABC is temporarily halting production on frosh drama series Flash Forward this week. The six-day hiatus has been a part of the show’s schedule and the purpose is to give writers more time to “maintain a high quality of the show” per an ABC network representative.
