At Time Inc.’s NewFront at the Hudson Theater Senior Vice President of Video J.R. McCabe noted that Time’s entities have a total of 30.8 million Twitter followers, 34.3 million Facebook fans and 21.2 million followers combined on Google+, Pinterest and Instagram. Some of the company’s slate of new programming and products are:
- The upcoming spring premiere of PEOPLE Now, a live daily talk show on PEOPLE.com devoted to the latest celebrity and entertainment news, and Eyesore, with Rachel Dratch & Alec Holland, where the former SNL star and her collaborator will literally de-clutter peoples’ lives.
- Time’s Red Border Films documentary series will debut six new chapters this year, including the third season of SI Underdogs (due out in the fall), celebrity series Entertainment Weekly Lightbulb and a women-focused roundtable discussion about style and celebrities called The Climb.
- New distribution network partners are DailyMotion, Ulive, and Roku. Programming from People, Time, Cooking Light and Golf will be accessible on Net2TV through the Portico programming guide, available on 20 million screens.
- Video projects 120 Sports and The Daily Cut are launching this year: 120 Sports is a “snackable” live streaming platform with content from partners like MLB Advanced Media, the NHL, Silver Chalice and Campus Insiders. The Daily Cut aggregates video from across Time’s portfolio, which viewers can browse by categories.
