Pivot Upfront: April 16, 2014

Pivot unveiled a millennial-loving slate of original series and 11 projects in development during yesterday’s Upfront at The Lamb’s Club in NY. Pivot President Evan Shapiro noted that the network’s “second slate demonstrates our significant investment in, and commitment to, groundbreaking content for the thought-leading segment of Generation Y we call ‘Upstanders.’ We believe that a story well told can change the world. Pivot’s programming is meant to spark conversation among the very people most likely to create that change.” Here’s a look:

New Series

Human Resources (premieres August 8 at 10:30p)

The half-hour comedy centers on eccentric entrepreneur Tom Szaky and his team of employees at TerraCycle, a company whose mission is to eliminate waste on a global scale

Welcome To Fairfax (premieres October 2014)

The docu-series takes a behind-the-scenes look at the artistic block that has emerged in the Fairfax area of Los Angeles, seen through the eyes of the young visionaries who inhabit it.
