Adult Swim 2013

Adult Swim announced its 2013-14 programming schedule, a mixed slate of more than 30 new and returning series, pilots and specials. “As Adult Swim continues to grow and be the place for great comedic talent as well as surprising and unexpected content, it is important that we expand its development of original programs so that we can build on its success even more,” said Stuart Snyder, president/coo of Turner’s Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media Group. Here’s a look at what’s coming up.

New animated series include: Rick and Morty, about the adventures shared between a genius grandfather and his less than genius grandson; Mr. Pickles, about the Goodman clan and their deviant border collie; Mike Tyson Mysteries, about Mighty Mike and his talking pigeon sidekick; and King Star King, about a punk rock he-man who falls from the realm of the gods to land as a fry cook in a waffle joint.

New series Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell is a workplace comedy about Gary, an associate demon, who attempts to capture souls on earth to climb the corporate ladder of the underworld.

Premiering in October, Hot Package is a fictional Canadian entertainment news program in the vein of Entertainment Tonight and EXTRA.

Pilots include a mix of live-action and animation, including Hole to Hole, which follows the exploits of sexy billionaire detectives Ashleigh and Amelia Dangerhole in a parody of ’80s detective shows, and Ubermansion, from Stoopid Buddy Stoodios and the creators of Robot Chicken, about the mundane humanity of six superheroes all living in the same mansion.
