This day in History: 1939 – “Gone With the Wind,” produced by David O. Selznick based on the novel by Margaret Mitchell, premiered at Loew’s Grand Theater in Atlanta.

Answer to Yesterday’s Trivia Question:  Who am I?  People come to my shop for many things … play checkers, catch up on the town news, read the paper and sometimes play the guitar.  If there’s no one in my shop, I’ll probably be sitting on the front porch.  Inside the shop, there’s just one major chair; one day I aspire to have two.  Who am I?  FLOYD THE BARBER on THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW  Kudos to: Scott Collins-WEtv/NY; Jeffrey Hira-Nickelodeon/NY; Dennis Maguire-Bright House Networks/Riverview; Nancy McKenna-TruTV/NY; John Burshtan-Extreme Cuisine with Jeff Corwin/Denver; Nancy Thurman-WALA WFNA/Pensacola; Patti Rodriguez-KXRM KXTU/Colorado Springs; Julie Houston-Donahoe Pace & Partners Ltd/Boise; Calvin Caltvedt/Fremantle Media/PTZ; Ken DuBow-Opus/LA; Jaime Klein-GSN/Santa Monica; Greg Stewart-Evolution Media/Burbank;

Today’s Trivia Question:   Who am I?  I was a model.  A particular shampoo account was my signature campaign.  One day I realized my manager was embezzling from me, and I was nearly broke, and my modeling days were being me.  So I went into a completely new business under the advisement of a new and wisecracking acquaintance.  The new business was a success and continued strong until I made the mistake of falling for my “acquaintance.”  That’s when we jumped the shark and it was a quick decline from there.  Who am I?   (Email [email protected] with your answer and be sure to include your name, company, city and time zone. Unofficial rules: Only the second four correct answers from each time zone will be mentioned; and once you’ve been mentioned in any of the Cynopsis editions, you can’t be mentioned again that calendar week.)
