FOX gave a second season back nine order to its new Family Guy spinoff, The Cleveland Show. The animated series is currently in production as FOX previously approved a full first season of The Cleveland Show and the second season’s first 13 episodes. Since its September 27 premiere, The Cleveland Show has averaged a 4.5/11 with A18-49 viewers and 9 million total viewers. 20th Century Fox Television produces the show with Seth MacFarlane, Mike Henry and Rich Appel as executive producers.

Oxygen Media wants more Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood as the network okayed a fifth season of the reality series for spring 2010. The new season will witness more scenes from Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s personal life as well as a first-time cross-country family road trip. This last season of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood was Oxygen’s most watched season among A18-49, W18-49 and total viewers and the season finale brought in more than 1 million A18-49 viewers. Tori and Dean created the show and also serve as executive producers with Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato; World of Wonder Productions produces the series.

Action sports lifestyle channel, FUEL TV is bringing back a sixth season of The Standard Snowboard Show beginning November 17 at 8p as part of the network’s Snow Pack programming block. The new season highlights footage from Standard Films and top snowboard filmmaker Mack Dawg, as he catches the best snowboarders in action around the world.

Bravo’s third season debut of Million Dollar Listing on Monday at 11p drew in 552,000 A18-49 viewers as well as 819,000 total viewers. Furthermore, the second season finale of The Rachel Zoe Project attracted 593,000 A18-49 and 837,000 total viewers.

Note from Cyn:  We’ve been hearing the buzz for years on Advanced Advertising & iTV, and we’re wondering if it’s really beginning to happen, and where that will take us in the future.  We’re trying to get to the center of the conversation and hear all sides, and would like your help to do that.  It doesn’t matter if you’re a brand, an agency, television distributor or programmer – if you have a free moment, or need a distraction, we would appreciate your thoughts on this newest ad trend, by going here and anonymously answering the questions on a short survey on the topic.  We’ll share the info with you at our CTAM Luncheon in Denver later on this month.  Thanks for your participation!

Correction : The EPIX movie channel is set to launch on Oct. 30 – not this weekend. Sources say the broadband and VOD service should be ready to roll by that time as well.

~ DISTRIBUTION, CARRIAGE & CLEARANCE ~

Nationally syndicated TV magazine series Made In Hollywood from Connection III Entertainment Corp. was renewed for a fifth season. Made In Hollywood is available in 57 of the top 60 markets in the US and airs on CBS O&Os such as WCBS/New York, KCBS-KCAL/Los Angeles, KYW-WPSG/Philadelphia, KTVT-KTXA/Dallas and KPIX-KBCW/San Francisco. The show is cleared in more than 80% of US households. Additionally, Made In Hollywood: Teen Edition was picked up for a fourth season, and both weekend series were sold to the CBS Television Stations group in 21 markets for the 2009-2010 season.

~ PRODUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT ~

Bravo will again feature Jackie Warner in a new docu-series after Warner headlined the network’s successful series Work Out for three seasons. The new series, titled Thintervention is in development and it will follow Warner as she works with people struggling with weight loss issues. Warner will coach these clients to help them fulfill their fitness goals and will even pay surprise visits to their homes to raid their kitchens.  The one-hour series is produced by Shed Media U.S. for Bravo with Warner executive producing along with Jennifer O’Connell and Nick Emmerson.

As a follow up to a story from Wednesday, ABC picked up the new Matthew Perry untitled single-camera comedy project after intense bidding from other networks, cites THR. The deal, with likely penalties attached, is one of the most lucrative to date this development season. Sony TV will produce and Perry will pen the script with Sony’s Alex Barnow and Mark Firek. The plot centers on a self-absorbed manager of a second-rate sports arena who examines his life following his 40th birthday. Perry, Barnow, Firek and Thomas Schlamme, who will also direct, will all executive produce. ABC has another Friends alum on its air currently as Courteney Cox stars in the new comedy Cougar Town.

The production company is specifically looking for female players and their families in the Dallas, NY/NJ, Los Angeles and Chicago areas. Production will begin next spring. The two are claiming that Index Ventures‘ Mike Volpi, one of Skype’s prospective buyers, is illegally using information gained while running their online video hub Joost to engineer the sale, per the WSJ. The suit claims that Vopli had enough insider knowledge to know that litigation pending over the copyright of software owned by co-plaintiff Joltid would not impede the future of Skype.   Full edition: CYN DIGITAL.
