ABC will reversion UK Channel 4‘s new Too Big to Walk? series for the U.S. market for a possible Summer 2007 debut with the help of producer Ricochet and co-exec producers Nick Emerson and Julie Laughlin. The original had 8 overweight folks walk 500 miles over two weeks in Britain. The U.S. version of the British show will be more American, with more games and reality show challenges integrated into the walks that contestants need to take to win.

With production beginning March 5, auditions will be held in four cities: in Los Angeles March 5-6; Las Vegas March 11-12; New York March 20-21; and Orlando March 28-29. Contestants will advance from regional auditions and move on to semi-final rounds, then ten finalists will be voted on by viewers. Interested participants can go to www.nextbestthingshow.com or www.abc.com for more casting information.
Casting Call: If you’re a mother living in the Houston area, grab your daughter for the local casting auditions for The CW Network reality series Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants. If you can’t make the audition date in person, submit your own video directly to the network and information about how to do that can be found at www.khcw.com.
