BBC America and Pivot were the two main players this week during the Upfront season. Revelers at the BBC America bash celebrated the net’s attention-grabbing, award-winning programming, with teasers for plenty more on tap. Six days later, Pivot packed the house to outline a slate of groundbreaking stories and shows to inspire a generation. Here’s what we have to look forward to:

BBC AMERICA

BBC America held a bash April 10 at NYC club Terminal 5 to celebrate the net’s accomplishments. The packed party featured singers and dancers representing different stages of David Bowie’s career – who even grabbed audience members for boogying – and a Cirque du Solei-inspired performance. While no news broke at the just-for-fun party, the net promised rolling announcements to come.

So far: The sophomore season of Orphan Black launched Saturday, April 19, after a series of posters teased what was in store on the conspiracy thriller, and season two of fantasy Atlantis started production this month.

BBCA took home two George Foster Peabody Awards this year, the most of any basic cable network, for Orphan Black and Broadchurch.

Pivot unveiled a millennial-loving slate of original series and 11 projects in development during yesterday’s Upfront at The Lamb’s Club in NY. Pivot President Evan Shapiro noted that the network’s "second slate demonstrates our significant investment in, and commitment to, groundbreaking content for the thought-leading segment of Generation Y we call ‘Upstanders.’ We believe that a story well told can change the world. Pivot’s programming is meant to spark conversation among the very people most likely to create that change." Here’s a look:
