Cynopsis
10/30/06
Good morning. It’s Monday, October 30, 2006, and this is your first early morning briefing.
The St. Louis Cardinals win the World Series in five! The fifth game of the series on Friday night delivered a 14.4 million viewers from 8-1130pm, good enough to win the night, but the average viewers for the series was down considerably from last year. The five game average ended up at just a little shy of the 16 million mark, off last year’s numbers by 7%, and last year was considered the smallest viewing audience for the Fall Classic since the Subway Series of 2000 which had just 18.1 million viewers. Despite the seemingly downward trend in the last couple of years, Fox has re-upped with Major League Baseball for another seven World Series.
Tonight’s Premieres:
Lifetime: Lisa Williams: Life Among the Dead
Tonight’s Finales:
A&E: Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels
