The CW wants more of its first season series, Beauty and the Beast, giving the drama starring Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan a full season order. To date, Beauty and the Beast is averaging a 0.9 rating with the network’s target A18-34 demo as well as 2.4 million total viewers.
The final two episodes of The Voice will be supersized by NBC as the final performance episode airs December 17 from 8-930p and the two-hour season three finale is set for December 18 from 9-11p. Following the 90-minute installment of The Voice on December 17, NBC will preview midseason comedy 1600 Penn starring Josh Gad and Bill Pullman at 930p. The White House comedy will then premiere on its regular day and time on January 10 at 930p.
Last Wednesday, more than 5.5 million viewers tuned-in to all or part of Univision Network’s one-hour premiere of Amores Verdaderos (True Love) at 9p. The premiere additionally delivered an average audience of 4.3 million total viewers; 2.4 million among A18-49; and 1.3 million A18-34 viewers.
Later this month, E! debuts Love You, Mean It With Whitney Cummings, starring the stand-up comedienne who is familiar to E! viewers as a regular roundtable guest on Chelsea Lately and a guest for high-profile comedy roasts. In her new show, premiering November 28 at 1030p following The Soup, Whitney will welcome special guests and serve up field pieces along with her comedian sidekick, Julian McCullough as she takes on pop culture, entertainment news and current events. Borderline Amazing Productions is behind the series with Chelsea Handler, Cummings, Tom Brunelle and Rob Anderson as executive producers and Brad Wollack as co-EP.
Syfy has renewed its series Haven for a fourth season comprised of 13 all-new episodes for 2013. Currently, season three of Haven is averaging 1.2 million A25-54 viewers, the best ever in this demo. Also the September 12 season premiere drew 2.8 million total viewers, a series record which was up by +10% compared to the season two premiere. Haven is based on the novella, The Colorado Kid by Stephen King and is produced by Entertainment One and Big Motion Pictures in association with Piller/Segan/Shepherd and airs on Syfy in the US, Showcase in Canada and internationally via Universal Networks International’s channel.
Animated series Brickleberry has been renewed for a second season by Comedy Central. Presently in its first season, Brickleberry is averaging 1.8 million total viewers and ranks as the second-highest rated series in its time period among M18-34 and M18-24. The second season with 13 episodes will roll out in fall 2013. Daniel Tosh and series creators Waco O’Guin and Roger Black serve as executive producers.
Starting this evening, RLTV, the cable network and online destination targeting adults 50+, is bringing back the half-hour series, Home Again with Bob Vila to its schedule with stacked episodes at 7p and also on Saturdays at 11a to 12 noon. The series follows home renovator Bob Vila as he visits residential and commercial construction sites and restorations from San Francisco to Miami and in New England and offers his ideas for renovating various places and spaces.
On Wednesday last week, Estrella TV aired live the 13th Annual Premios De La Radio Awards from 7p to 11p and tallied 562,000 total viewers which ranks now as the most watched program in the network’s history. The live telecast also attracted 303,000 among A18-49 which ranks as the second highest total for the demo since the network began receiving ratings.

Thursday A18-49 Analysis: CBS tallied a win Thursday night with a 3.3/9 A18-49, according to final primetime national ratings from Nielsen. CBS was #1 at 8p with a combo of The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men at an average of 4.6/13 and NBC’s The Voice was next at 3.0/8. ABC overtook the competition during 9p with Grey’s Anatomy at 3.3/8 and CBS slid back to second place with Person of Interest at 2.9/8. CBS reversed its fortune at 10p as Elementary topped with a 2.2/6 and ABC’s Scandal was #2 at 1.9/5.
