Fuse debuts a new 30m docu-series called NOFX: Backstage Passport on April 15 at 10p. Fans of the punk band NOFX will follow the members as they travel to Singapore, Peru, Israel, South Africa and China, taking an uncensored look at their adventures.

First-run syndicated strip Family Feud from Debmar-Mercury is renewed in more than 80% of the U.S. for next season which includes 47 of the Top 50 markets. The daily game show will be fully cleared by September. Family Feud also posted year-to-year ratings increases among W18-49 up 14% to 0.8 and among W25-54 up 13% to 0.9.

A&E tallied 1.3 million A18-49 as well as 1.3 million A25-54 viewers for the premiere of Crime 360 last Thursday (10p). The new original series opener also drew in 2.3 million total viewers.

Media General announced it is selling its ABC affiliate WTVQ/Lexington to Morris Network for an undisclosed amount, reports B&C. Pending normal regulatory approvals, the transaction is expected to be complete this second or third quarter. In October, Media General said in order to reduce debt it wants to sell five stations in the Southeastern U.S. The remaining stations include WCWJ/Jacksonville; WMBB/Panama City; KALB-NALB/Alexandria; and independent WNEG/Toccoa, GA.

Showtime has ordered a sixth season of The L Word with 8 episodes.  This will be the show’s final season, reports THR.  The show is scheduled to begin airing the final season in 2009.  The current season finale is slated to air on March 23.

CYNOPSIS DIGITAL – TODAY’S TOP STORY:   Reports are circulating that Sir Paul McCartney has finally agreed to sell the digital rights to the Beatles catalog in an exclusive deal with Apple, worth anywhere from $400 million (UPI) to $600 million (Telegraph.) The Beatles songs have long been considered the Holy Grail of digital music platforms, but legal disputes between the surviving Beatles, EMI, Apple Corps and Apple Computer have complicated matters. Thursday – A18-49 Analysis:  Despite some week-to-week erosion, FOX stayed in the lead Thursday night with 6.5/16 A18-49, according to final national ratings from Nielsen Media Research. At 8p, FOX had a big win with American Idol at 9.4/24. Then at 9p, ABC’s Lost was #1 at 5.4/13. The 10p hour was tight as ABC’s Eli Stone and CBS’ Without a Trace encore tied for first at 2.4/7 ahead of NBC’s Lipstick Jungle at 2.3/6.

CBS did best at 8p with the primetime version of The Price Is Right at 2.5/8. At 9p, FOX held tight with the House repeat at 2.3/7, while NBC’s Dateline came second at 2.2/6. NBC quickly filed past the competition during 10p as the second hour of Dateline won with 2.9/9.

Robert Swartz moves to the Cartoon Network where he will be VP/Original Series based in Burbank. Robert, who joins Cartoon Network from the SCI FI Channel, will head the development and current series teams in addition to development of all animated, live-action and alternative series. He will also identify new creative talent for the network and Cartoon Network Studios. Robert begins his new post March 17 and will report to Robert Sorcher, Chief Content Officer.

ESPN named Gary Belsky as Editor-In-Chief of ESPN The Magazine to oversee all editorial direction of the magazine. In this position, he succeeds Gary Hoenig who was Editor-In-Chief since 2003. Gary Hoenig will continue under the new title as GM/Editorial Director of ESPN Publishing.

Lewis Kofsky, Director/Computer Graphics and Visual Effects was made Partner of Curious Pictures, the animation and mixed media production studio. In his new role as head of CG/VFX, Lewis will direct all digital production projects that encompass TV programming, feature films, branded content for marketers, computer games and TV commercials.
