Good morning. It’s Monday, December 15, 2008 and this is your first early morning Kids briefing.
Summit Entertainment confirms that writer/director/producer Chris Weitz will direct the next two Twilight movies, which are of course, based on author Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight book series. Production on the second movie, New Moon, is scheduled to begin in the next few months, with Summit planning to release the film towards the end of 2009 or early 2010. Erik Feig, Summit’s President of Production will oversee New Moon for the studio, along with the studio’s Director of Production Gillian Bohrer.
