The agreement extends the duo’s long-standing relationship with the commercial broadcaster through December 2011. Under the new pact, Ant and Dec will continue to host some of the broadcaster’s top shows in addition to Push the Button (working title), a new primetime entertainment program from their production company Gallowgate, slated to launch on ITV1 in 2010. They will also develop exclusive content for ITV.com. NEW PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT
Jennifer Beals joins the cast of Hallmark Channel‘s original TV movie The Night Before the Night Before Christmas. Produced by Muse Entertainment Productions, the movie has begun production in Toronto and is set to premiere on Hallmark Channel for holiday 2010. The Night Before the Night Before Christmas revolves around a family that is too busy to prepare for the holidays until Santa, having accidentally set out from the North Pole a day early, makes a crash landing on their roof and they must help save Christmas.
Zack Galifianakis (The Hangover) is in talks to join the cast of DreamWorks Animation‘s animated feature film Puss in Boots, per Variety. A Shrek spin-off, the Puss in Boots voiceover cast already features Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek. Set for release on November 4, 2011, the movie is directed by Chris Miller from a screenplay by Tom Wheeler.

The Micronauts toy line was created by Takara, later acquired by Tomy, and debuted in 1974 in Japan, where the line is known as Microman. Two years later the Mego Corporation introduced Micronauts to the US, and released five series of toys through 1980. Palisades Toys acquired the right to reproduce the toys in 2002. Additionally, Marvel Comics, Devil’s Due and Image Comics published Micronauts comic books, with several paperback books based on the property published by Preiss Visual Publications.
