Thursday:        Survivor, CSI, Without a Trace
Friday:          Ghost Whisperer, Threshold, NUMB3RS
Saturday:        Crimetime Saturday, 48 Hours
Sunday: 60 Minutes, Cold Case, CBS Movie

Arguably, the most competitive hour of primetime on television this fall will be Wednesdays at 9pm.  Consider this:

  • CBS: Criminal Minds– a procedural drama focusing on the mind of the criminally insane; starring Mandy Patankin
  • ABC: Lost – ABC’s big hit from this season, goes for another big win
  • NBC: E-Ring– NBC hopes this will do for the Pentagon what West Wing did for the White House, and with Dennis Hopper and Benjamin Bratt, it just may work.
  • Fox:  Head Cases– A little drama with a little fun, may be just what’s needed to break the four way fight for viewers.  Stars Chris O’Donnell.
  • Veronica Mars (UPN) and Related (WB) will duke it out for the young female votes.

And while we argue that point, also consider the best night to watch as both a viewer and as an industry executive, will be Thursday nights where no one is backing down:
Thursday:
ABC:    Alias, The Night Stalker, Primetime Live
CBS:    Survivor, CSI, Without a Trace
NBC:    Joey, Will & Grace, The Apprentice, ER
FOX:    The O.C., Reunion
UPN:    Everybody Hates Chris, Eve, Cuts, Love Inc.
WB:     Smallville, Everwood

On Monday, we can argue who will win what hours in primetime next fall …..

Tonight’s Season Finales:
WB:      What I Like About You at 8p
WB:     Reba at 9p
