Cynopsis: Kids!

3/30/07

Good morning. It’s Friday, March 30, 2007 and this is your first early morning kids briefing.

Vuguru, the indie production/distribution studio established earlier this month by Michael Eisner’s The Tornante Company, has inked a deal with MySpace, under which Vuguru’s Prom Queen, a short-form online series, will premiere on the social network.  Set to bow on MySpace this Sunday, April 1, Prom Queen is a scripted mystery that will be told over 80 webisodes, each 90-seconds in length.  Prom Queen takes place during the final months of the school year and revolves around all of the usual high-school angst (gossip, love, betrayal, sports, grades) as the kid’s head toward prom.  The MySpace Video channel and Prom Queen profile page will highlight exclusive content related to the series including character profiles, behind-the-scene video, character diaries, and secrets.  Following the MySpace exclusive 12-hour window, Prom Queen episodes will then also be available online Veoh, YouTube and PromQueen.com
