Style Network picked up the entertainment series Glamour’s 50 Best Dressed 2008 from international TV distribution company Target Entertainment. The series will air this Saturday with five 30m back-to-back episodes and was produced by Target Entertainment’s in-house production unit Target TV for Fiver in the U.K.

BBC America has ordered a third season of Robin Hood in 2009 with 13 one-hour episodes. The network is co-producing the new season with Tiger Aspect and the series is distributed by BBC Worldwide.

New partnerships were solidified between the Indy Racing League, which sanctions the IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights, with ABC and VERSUS. ABC will continue to air the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race through 2012 in addition to four other IndyCar Series races each year. 2009 will mark the 45th consecutive year ABC has televised the Indy 500 race. VERSUS signed a multi-year deal starting next year where the network will televise at least 13 races per year for the next ten years along with a one-hour preview show that will air the day prior to each race.

Dick Clark will continue to co-host and both will executive produce the holiday special with dick clark productions president Orly Adelson.

Warner Horizon Television (WHTV) made an exclusive multi-year development and production agreement with television producer Lisa Levenson (The Bachelor, Big Brother). As part of the terms of the deal, Lisa will develop and produce fresh unscripted/reality programs for broadcast network and cable networks and possibly for digital. All projects will be produced in partnership with WHTV with Warner Bros. International Television acquiring global distribution and international format production rights.

Fox has given a script order for a comedy project called Wild Boys from Carlos Coto and Brett Ratner, and produced by 20th Century Fox TV.  The storyline is about three of ex-army guys, now suburban dads, who find themselves out of work and decide to hire themselves out as guns for hire, each week taking on a new assignment, reports Variety.

CYNOPSIS DIGITAL – TODAY’S TOP STORY: Is the music industry finally beginning to dig itself out of the sinkhole brought on by Napster? Digital revenues increased nearly 40% year-over-year at Warner Music Group during the quarter ending June 30 to $166 million, making up 20% of the company’s total revenue intake. But CEO Edgar Bronfman Jr. thinks the company can do even better in the digital space. He complained in a conference call that Warner is helping to make music-themed console games like Activision’s Guitar Hero and Viacom’s Rock Band huge successes but seeing little in the way of compensation. Full edition: CYN DIGITAL.
