In addition to Cartoon Network bringing back new seasons of The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack and Adventure Time, the network also approved two new animated series:
Actor Tony Danza may go back to school. The former talk show host and star of comedies Taxi and Who’s the Boss? possibly will headline a new reality show titled Teach. Producers of the show are waiting on the voting outcome of a resolution by Philadelphia education officials to see if Danza is allowed to co-teach 10th grade English at Northeast High School. The vote happening next week will also approve production of 13 episodes. The Philly school district would receive $3,500 per episode, plus expenses and the right to view footage and make objections on content if needed. If approved, A&E Network will air the series, though no firm air date has been set. Danza is currently going through first-year instructor training and has received a vote of confidence from Mayor Michael Nutter who wrote a public letter to school commissioners in favor of the project. Denzel Washington may cross over into series television, working as an executive producer on the cop drama Billy Stiles. FOX is discussing picking up the project about an intelligent gang member who becomes a cop. Billy Stiles is based on a short story written by Virgil Williams who would also executive produce along with Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch of Escape Artists. ~ ELSEWHERE IN CYNOPSIS ~

Sony also announced it will get rid of its proprietary anticopying software, replacing it with an Adobe solution that restricts sharing and copying. Following the change, books bought on the Sony store can be read on a variety of devices – rather than just Sony products. Full edition: CYN DIGITAL.
