Good morning. It’s Friday, April 7, 2006 and this is your first early morning Kids! briefing.

NEW PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT

Decode Entertainment has made a number of program sales to TV2 Denmark including two new animated series Chop Socky Chooks (52 x 22 eps) and Planet Sketch (13 x 11 min), both are co-productions of Decode Ent. and Aardman Animations.  Additionally, the network has also taken The Save-Ums preschool series.

  • Chop Socky Chooks follows Chooks, is a 3D animated series targeted at K7-11 that follows a team of kung fu chickens working undercover in Wasabi World, a shopping mall run by their arch-enemy Dr. Wasabi.  The series is in production for Cartoon Network and Teletoon.
  • Aimed at 7-11 year olds, Planet Sketch stars a cast of characters including the Street Rappers, The Gnaughty Gnomes, and the Parping Ponies.  Each group of characters has their own penchant for creating mischief. Commissioned by CiTV and Teletoon, Planet Sketch was recently sold to Cartoon Network Asia Pacific and Cartoon Network Latin America.  The series also airs on ABC Australia and M-Net in South African.
