“High Potential” is living up to its name, becoming ABC’s most-watched new series in six years. The procedural is averaging 10.42 million viewers through its first five weeks on the air.

“Days of Our Lives” has been renewed for a 61st season. The soap opera ran on NBC until 2023, when it moved to Peacock.

Did you catch Vice President Kamala Harris’ cameo on “Saturday Night Live”? When Brendan Carr, a Republican on the Federal Communications Commission, caught wind of it, he tweeted that it was a “clear and blatant effort to evade the FCC’s Equal Time rule.” Harris arrived at 30 Rockefeller Plaza shortly after 8p on Saturday for a surprise live appearance three days before election day, playing herself opposite Maya Rudolph’s version of her.

CBS Stations will debut the first augmented and virtual reality presidential election coverage on November 5 from CBS’s New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Bay Area and Colorado studios, delivering real-time results through an immersive experience. Viewers will be “transported” to a multidimensional election center to see the results across a national and local VR map that will be driven by CBS anchors in their respective markets.

The Local Now FAST channels are produced by a team of technologists and journalists and feature 24/7 news powered by the Local Now newsroom, a nationwide local affiliate network, strategic news partners and proprietary news technology.

   PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT

Disney Branded Television handed series greenlights for “How We Became the Biggest Band in the World,” following members of a pop group who met in middle school, and “Vampirina,” centered on a tween vampire (both working titles). The music-driven, live-action comedies are slated to premiere next year on Disney Channel and Disney+.

Tastemade has ordered a second season of “Kitchen Glow Up.” The renovation series is produced by Andrew Zimmern’s Intuitive Kitchen.

   NEW & RETURNING SHOWS

Gordon Ramsay’s “Kitchen Nightmares: Road to Super Bowl LIX” returns with a two-hour episode, Wednesday, January 1 at 8p on FOX. The first half of the season is set in New Orleans, the home of Super Bowl LIX, leading up to the big game, with in-episode countdowns by Ramsay and appearances by current and former NFL stars.

TVision has expanded its passive measurement panel to cover 35 Designated Market Areas across the US. “We have always maintained a highly accurate, census-backed, demographically representative, passive meter panel,” said Yan Liu, CEO of TVision. “With the addition of ten new DMAs, including smaller and more rural areas, networks and brands now know that the viewing behaviors of every American are reflected in our data.”

MyBundle is launching a new Black Friday industry program leveraging its channel of big and small broadband provider partners to give streaming services and their Black Friday deals greater exposure. “With this program, broadband providers get to leverage streaming deals to grow subscriber adds, upgrades and retention and to drive broadband revenue,” said MyBundle Co-Founder and CEO Jason Cohen.

   COMING UP

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” is coming home to NBC. The Christmas classic premiered on NBC in 1964 and remained there until 1971, when it leaped to CBS. On Friday, December 6 at 8p, Rudolph, Clarice, Comet and company will return to NBC.

Freeform’s “25 Days of Christmas” kicks off Sunday, December 1 at 7a with “Prep & Landing.” Last year, the stunt reached nearly 37 million viewers, and Freeform ranked as the #1 cable entertainment network during the event for the 11th time in the past 12 years among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, according to Nielsen.

Wednesday’s episode 8 of Disney+s “Agatha All Along” drew 4.6 million views, up 48% from the premiere. Episode 9, the season finale which dropped the same day, saw a 26% lift from the premiere with 3.9 million views, according to Disney.
