Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris will sit down with Bret Baier for her first formal Fox News Channel interview on Wednesday, October 16. The talk will air during “Special Report with Bret Baier” at 6p. Harris is the first Democratic presidential candidate since Hillary Clinton in 2016 to sit for an FNC interview. A town hall with Donald Trump is slated for earlier that day, at 11a.

FOX Deportes and Telemundo struck a deal to air Super Bowl LIX live and in Spanish on both networks. The relationship will provide the broadest Spanish-language distribution in the US for any Super Bowl. “Delivering live NFL games in Spanish is key to reaching the large and rapidly growing Spanish-speaking NFL fan base,” said Hans Schroeder, NFL EVP, Media Distribution. “We are constantly looking for ways to expand access to our games and reach more fans, and this partnership is another step forward.” The nets will produce separate broadcasts and will each announce programming and coverage details in the lead-up to the game.

Max Thieriot (“Fire Country”) inked a first-look deal with CBS Studios, reports Deadline. “SEAL Team” kicked off Thieriot’s run at the studio in 2017.

Love Nature and Sky Nature have greenlit “Wild Side of the Moon,” a docuseries that reveals the ways all living things are connected to the phases and force of the Moon. Produced by Humble Bee Films, the series will explore the influence of the Moon as it waxes and wanes.

Crayola Studios and Hallmark announced a reimagining of Hallmark’s Rainbow Brite franchise that will include a feature film and TV series. Producers Neal H Moritz and Toby Ascher (“Sonic the Hedgehog”) are working on a theatrical movie, while CAKE is onboard to help develop a series. “Working alongside Hallmark, Original Film and CAKE, our large-scale plans for Rainbow Brite across film, TV and beyond demonstrates Crayola Studios’ broad ambitions,” said Victoria Lozano, EVP Crayola. “The reimagining of this iconic brand through the Crayola lens of color and creativity is aligned with our mission to develop joyful and inspiring family entertainment content that helps develop lifelong creative mindsets.”

Increased sales is the top goal for advertisers when it comes to retail media, according to Quartile’s 2024 Retail Media Pulse Report: Insights and Outlook, a survey of marketers and brand owners. Improved brand awareness was a distant second. There was consensus among respondents on the need for innovative solutions for enhanced personalization, seamless omnichannel integration, and improved ad optimization tools – meaning increased investment in AI. Competitiveness in Q4 and the next year will align directly with the success of these investments, suggests the report.

UK’s Tesco has launched a new video advertising solution that enables brands to connect with customers via short-form content being shown on its website and app, supported by an expansion of in-store opportunities like store wraps and state-of-the-art digital screens. A new insights portal will allow brands and agencies to deliver more relevant and personalized advertising experiences. “Along with our expanding creative canvas, we’re able to create immersive omnichannel brand activations that enhance the customer experience and drive business growth, positioning us as a great partner for retail media success,” said Tash Whitney, Tesco Media Managing Director.

Adobe announced the expansion of its Firefly family of creative generative AI models to video. The Firefly Video Model, now in limited public beta, is the first publicly available video model designed to be commercially safe. “The usage of Firefly within our creative applications has seen massive adoption, and it’s been inspiring to see how the creative community has used it to push the boundaries of what’s possible,” said Ely Greenfield, CTO, Digital Media at Adobe. Within one year of being launched, Firefly was brought into Photoshop, Express, Illustrator, Substance 3D and more, while supporting various workflows in Creative Cloud applications. Firefly also supports text prompts in over 100 languages and enables users to create content that is designed to be safe for commercial use.

Documentary “Beatles ‘64” drops Friday, November 29 on Disney+. The Martin Scorsese film features never-before-seen footage of the band, including rare footage filmed by documentarians Albert and David Maysles and restored in 4K.

“Janet Planet” will make its streaming debut on Max on Friday, November 1, and its linear premiere on Saturday, November 2 at 8p on HBO. The film follows an 11-year-old who spends the summer of 1991 at home, enthralled by her own imagination and the attention of her mother, Janet.

“Am I Racist?” starts streaming exclusively on DailyWire+ on Monday, October 28. The film directed by Justin Folk features provocateur Matt Walsh going undercover in the world of diversity, equity and inclusion. To date, the film has grossed more than $12 million at the box office after launching in theaters nationwide on September 13, and ranks as the nation’s top-grossing documentary of the decade.

Soap opera star Carmen Villalobos (“Sin Senos No Hay Paraíso”) will host the “Billboard Latin Music Awards,” airing Sunday, October 20 at 9 on Telemundo.

Centered around Week 8’s top-10 matchup between No. 1 Texas and No. 5 Georgia, and the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas, “ESPN Texas Takeover” will feature on-site broadcasts from a range of ESPN and ABC programming and event activations throughout the weekend. Online gaming company FanDuel and EuroLeague Basketball struck a broadcasting agreement for the 2024-25 season. Nippon TV has licensed the Mongolian rights to its unscripted format “Old Enough!” to Brickmedia. The first Mongolian version is set to stream 20 episodes this fall on SeeRooTV, Mongolia’s first kids-only streaming platform.

GRB Media Ranch closed deals with France Television and Telefonica for Dan Portland/Rob Reiner political doc “God & Country”; with JOJ Slovakia and Pluto Nordics for several paranormal programs; and with YES Israel for film “Magnolia’s Hope.”

All3Media will introduce a range of new formats from producers such as Studio Lambert, IDTV and Optomen at MIPCOM, including BBC One series “Parenthood,” produced by natural history producer Silverback Films.

ABC Japan, Diturn Korea, and content incubator Empire of Arkadia have joined forces in co-developing “100,” a community-based music entertainment format.
