San Francisco based Indigo Films has hired Senior Vice President of Development, Katie Hash to head up its new LA office. Prior to joining Indigo Films, Hash worked at A. Smith & Co. Director of Talent Amy Hutchinson has relocated from northern California headquarters, joining Hash in the LA office, and Rose Viggiano has been promoted to Sr. Director of Development and Branded Entertainment.

Ashley Gold is joining Hearst Television as Vice President, Sales, effective January 2017. A 17-year broadcast industry veteran, Gold was last Vice President/General Manager of KRON-TV, San Francisco and KOIN-TV, Portland, Oregon.
Conde Nast Entertainment tapped Bruce Perlmutter as Senior Vice President of Production. Perlmutter most recently produced BuzzFeed’s live election night coverage and the Heaven Sent live skydiving event for FOX, Facebook Live and Snapchat.
Tom Gorke was promoted to Executive Vice President, Content Distribution, of Viacom, Inc., replacing Denise Denso, who is exiting the company. Gorke had been Executive Vice President Sales and Business Development for Viacom Media Networks and BET Networks.
Nina L. Diaz, promoted last week to Head of Unscripted for MTV and VH1, announced a new leadership team. Eli Lehrer will take on an expanded role as Head of Development for MTV; Lily Neumeyer will continue as Head of Development for VH1 while taking on additional talent-driven projects; Paul Ricci, Head of Alternative Programming for VH1 adds MTV to his portfolio, and MTV production exec Andy Portnoy will take on the expanded role of Head of Strategic Content Operations for MTV and VH1. “MTV and VH1 share the same creative DNA and this team deepens the connection between them,” said Diaz.
Yoel Flohr has joined AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios as Senior Vice President of Franchise Development. In this newly created role, Flohr is responsible for the planning and strategy related to maximizing value of AMC Studios-owned assets and intellectual property, promoting the development of global franchises and serving growing fan communities. Most recently, Flohr served as co-founder of Thirty Labs inc.
FX Networks promoted Gina Balian to Executive Vice President of Series Development for FX Networks and FX Productions, and Jonathan Frank to EVP of FX Current Programming and Current Productions. Nicole Clemens is leaving her role as EVP of Series Development to join Anonymous Content as Manager and Producer.
President-elect Donald Trump selected former WWE executive Linda McMahon to lead the Small Business Administration. McMahon unsuccessfully twice ran for a republican Senate seat in Connecticut, in 2010 and 2012.
Maryland Governor Larry Hogan appointed David P. Scheffenacker Jr. and Shelly L. Gardeniers to the 11-member Maryland Public Broadcasting Commission, the governance board for Maryland Public Television. In their new roles, Scheffenacker and Gardeniers will work with fellow commissioners to oversee the statewide public broadcaster.
Cartoon Network upped two executives. Curtis Lelash and Tramm Wigzell, who both served as Vice President, Original Series, are now Senior Vice President, Original Series.
Advertising executive Geri Wang, announced that she will retiring from ABC in March 2017. Wang had a 27-year run with the network, which saw her ascend to President, ABC Sales. There is no word yet as to who will replace her.
Verizon hired Erin McPherson as Head of Content Strategy, Acquisition and Programming. She was previously Chief Content Officer at Disney’s Maker Studios.
Scripps Networks Interactive promoted Cindy Brown to Senior Vice President, Program Planning and Scheduling. She had served as Vice President of the company since 2013.
